Re: FOR ALL THOSE WHO BOO OR JEER ADEBAYOR
I remmeber that. He's clearly noticed how we feel about him.Mr FINSBURY PARK GOONER wrote: There was a momment when he looked at the Arsenal end for about 10 seconds after this....
I agree with the fact that we should not jeer him as he still (for now) plays for Arsenal we need to him to be scoring goals and getting jeered wont help the situation.
But i do agree with the reasons he has been jeered and the fact that he noticed says to me enough is enough we've made our point. Cheer him when he scores but he has to re-earn the pre-goals chants from now.

People have made their feelings toward Ade clear during the West Brom match...he heard it. He gets it. We move on.
I'm in no doubt that Adebayor heard it. But as to whether he gets it, I'm not so sure. I mean if he does/did get it then he certainly didn't get it enough to break a bead of sweat attempting to win the fans back over or prove a point. Something that he should already have been doing regardless of any booing anyway. There was a momment when he looked at the Arsenal end for about 10 seconds after this....
Now I'm not personally in favour of jeering him, as stated on here before for me it's a simple case of my love of Arsenal being greater than my hatred of any player (or any other team for that matter). But Adebayor has to play his part. He may have spent 10 seconds looking at the away end after the jeering but he spent the other 89 minutes 50 seconds looking fucking disinterested!
The same could be said of pretty much everyone on Saturday I know but for Adebayor to supposedly want the fans to get back onside but not be prepared to put in the work for that to happen just shows the same level of arrogance and lack of self-awareness that brought about this situation in the first place.
Personally I'd like us to get some songs together that talk about what an honour it is (or should be) to play for The Arsenal and/or sing the names of the players who do run themselves into the ground (Cesc & Clichy would be about the only ones right now) rather than jeer Adebayor or anyone else. But if Adebayor is gonna use the jeering as an excuse to not bother turning up he might as well fuck off now cos it's only gonna be a self-perpetuating cycle.
I don't think he got it.. when he looked towards the putney stand, he looked completely baffled. To his mind, he's behaved perfectly correctly all summer, and he's now "committed" himself to us (for now). Such is the mentality of the modern footballer. We should get used to it, and be cheering the boys on.Its Up 4 Grabs Now wrote:People have made their feelings toward Ade clear during the West Brom match...he heard it. He gets it.
