A real low point and frankly the Ox's face-saving heroics in the second leg were nothing of the sort for me, should have stuffed them out of sight.

I agree with you over the dubious call on whether robben would have reached the ball in time to call it a clear goalscoring chance but I'm not having that statement - we ballsed up first place in our group and did so too many times in recent years and in most of those cases we lost top spot cos wenker fcuked about playing back up players before top spot was secured
So you disagree that we've been unlucky with the draws? I could go back through and look at some of the beatable sides we could have drawn in the last 5 years, but I can't be bothered. Even Milan, who we should have beaten, was the toughest side in the draw.

But if wenker had of waited until he had actually won the group before he rested players, then he would have had easier draws in all bar one year (I think). In recent seasons we go to places like olympiacos, field a load of back ups (who can forget mannone's almighty fcuk up ? ) and then drop points and finish second. Even this season we had top spot in our grasp but wenger went to napoli, got his tictacs all wrong (again :banghead: ) and we end up 2nd in the group and drawn against the holders and favourites :(

I accept that you are saying that there was easier draws that we could have got but the reality is that if we won our group then we would have been drawn against one of leverkusen, zenit, galatasery, schalke or olympiacos but seeing as we failed to clinch top spot (again  ) we were going to be drawn against one of bayern, barca, both madrids or psg so it doesnt take einstein to realise that our chances of a tough draw increase massively

Wenger was complaining about refereeing and soft fouls (even suggesting there wasn't much contact for the pen) but apparently we only gave away 8 fouls including that all night, half of what Bayern did.

I actually thought for once in Europe we were quite smart and bought a lot of cheap fouls ourselves, going down at the slightest of touches.

Not so sure about that mate. In the case of City yesterday, they deserved the double punishment. Demichelis went purely for the man, he knew he'd get a red and really just tried to take him before he got to the box. Probably he just did that, but fuck the *word censored* he was cheating, so let him have a red and a pen against his team.

I think change the rule and you'll see a lot more cynical, calculated fouls going in from players manipulating the rules. Just look at all the onside/offside bollocks that has been going on since the whole interference shit came in.
that's not really what i mean, mate. I completely accept that defenders more often than not have a choice and that citeh defender clearly deserved to see red for such a cynical foul.

what i don't like is that goalkeepers are always in a situation where they are the last man (its there position after all) so are always likely to see red and give away a penalty even if they innocently mistime a challenge. And as the last man, they have little choice but to go for the ball. Just seems a needless double punishment. In situations like last night, a penalty would surely have been enough. But the rules say red card as well.
I don't know man, I think it should be kept as it is. For the actual amount a situation like last night happens versus the potential fall out from asking the referee to decide if the keeper was 100% going for the ball, seems too high a price for me.

For what its worth, last night, by the book or not, our Keeper has got to go. I don't think that's a ball he is ever going to win cleanly, probably 9 times out of 10. He rushed out more in blind hope the ball would hit him somewhere. And when it didn't, he knew what was coming.

I know that redaction can claim to have originally been set up to improve atmosphere but can it be said that it is still their sole target ? Have they enjoyed being perceived as the voice of the fans since though both in terms of meetings with the club and also when the media (sky) look for someone to interview ? If they are happy to enjoy the perks then surely they have to be willing to take on the responsibilities that come with it ?
Cor, you can make up any old shit you like to discredit REDaction can't you?

Nobody from REDaction has ever been interviewed on Sky - I look forward to your apology.

If I'm wrong then I apologise
I have 600+ posts on this forum, and if I could be bothered to go back and check, most of these are probably in reponse to you spouting some inaccurate shit about REDaction - Just let it go mate - I don't like you either, but as I know nothing about you I have no further comment to make - which is better than just coming up with some statement which is incorrect.
have you chaps apologized to usmanov yet?

Nothing anyone can do about the last part.

Apparently when DB10 was over here, tarmacing drives or clearing gardens or whatever it was, he fucked all the English women.

Good and proper too by all accounts.

There's probably a monkey deep in the jungle with a cure for whatever shit he's contaminated us all with.

G88ner has been tasked to retrieve it next time he's off back packing round the globe, so there's hope.
