Grumpy Git - things that "literally" get on my tit

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Very clever Hlebby, but they print out a piece of paper announcing that one has saved £0.21 compared to other stores.
The paper offers the customer no further discount.
It is merely a boast, but to check it's accuracy would take a long time.

I actually ate a chocolate and coconut cake tonight G88ner. Very nice it was too :D

Any advert - furniture stores are the worst culprit - that shows you a pic of a sofa and then the voiceover says "only 499!"

499 what, exactly? Matabele gumbo beans? Thai Baht? Or good old English Pounds Sterling? Ah, the last, thought so. Then bloody well say so!

Rant over.

Super glue! It doesn't fucking work, I have never glued anything successfully with this shite and I'm not talking gluing something that will have to take any abuse.
If you want to stick something use silicone, works every time!

or chewing gum! When I was young, I put a nice soggy pre-chewed piece of gum in a bullies hair; he tried everything but the gum just would not budge - he finally resorted to cutting it out, leaving a nice bald spot on the top of his head 8)

Anyone else fed up at the till, with sorting out nectarcard, debit card, then getting vouchers whilst person in queue behind gets fed up with you sorting out vouchers, one of which tells you that your shop is £0.21 cheaper than the next supermarket but does not actually offer a discount?

Oh, and remember to take your actual shopping!

Well last week I went to Tesco, got a slip informing me that 'as my shop was £4.72 more expensive than elsewhere, I could reclaim the difference back within the next month'. 8) I also got £5 off my next shopping bill voucher for spending over £40!! :barscarf: :barscarf: Every little bit helps!!

As for checking, I'm sure there is some independent organisation that monitors the prices of certain items at all the main Supermarkets. :rubchin:
