If he doesn't sign a contract in the Summer then he should be sold as he is worth a fair bit.

Never understand why players are allowed to run their contracts down at the club and then leave for nothing.

From where I am sitting he has put his ideas forward in a rational way and didnt get personal, abusive or rant at anything re rvp which is not an easy thing to do about a player you hate (dont even get me started about alex song   ).

Hate to break it to you augie but I’m not sure you’re doing quite as good a job of keeping your Song-hatred in check as you think!  Understandable though that is!

As for RVP/Quartz I can only speak for myself but I think it would be fair to say RVP is being slightly overrated by some on here right now - at least unless/until he maintains his form & fitness through to the end of the season. I’d also say he is clearly more of an individual player (although nowhere near as selfish as he used to be & is still labelled) & the jury should still be out on his ability to form an effective partnership.

But when for e.g. that criticism goes as far as holding it against him that he couldn’t form a partnership with a player as good as DB10, despite the fact that they hardly ever played together in a strike partnership (& certainly not in a consecutive run) - not to mention RVP at the time DB10 was at the club was a much younger, immature & generally inferior version of the player he is today - then I think that’s what gives the impression at least that there’s more to Quartz’ stance than purely football related reasons. Which is what baffles me.

Especially as generally speaking Quartz’ arguments are easily among the most well though out on here - regardless of whether I agree with them all or not.

I agree though the debate should be more about whether or not we should sell RVP (& at what price) given his contract situation & less about second-guessing the plotline to Quartz vs. RVP: The Prequel - although I would pay to watch that movie!

No

I could not ask for more from him this season, he's been fantastic every time he's played

Yeah but he's pretty much been the only one to score for ages.

He's not scored in the league for a while, and only courtesy of a penalty in clge. Simply not a prolific goal scorer which main striker should be eg henry, wright etc
