4-0, Clean Sheet but has anyone seen Cesc?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Diaby :?:

I can´t believe that.
believe it.

BBC article from when he joined us: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 607920.stm
He even talked about choosing us over Chelsea in an interview back then.

And articles from this summer: http://www.goal.com/en/news/1707/inter/ ... by-reports linking him with a move to Inter. I know the link is goal.com, but there were (slightly) more reputable sources reporting similar things.

Not that it matters. He's shit, stupid etc. etc.

Because people on the internet always know better than some of the best managers in the world.
mate there is no point explaining yourself its like hiiting :banghead: with these lot. i think they wait like hungry dogs for us to lose so they can come on here and gloat in the misery...

Probably the most stupid thing you've ever posted. And that's fucking saying something...

Maybe it is best if you just stick to copying and pasting other people's opinions - yours are pretty dumb.

But like I said before Ramon (if that even is your real name!)… what about all the other top managers who don’t apparently want Diaby. Do their opinions somehow render yours & Hadareud’s invalid the same way that Mourinho’s supposedly invalidates the opinion of anyone who doesn’t rate Diaby? :? Cant have it both ways. Unless your Flash, of course (sorry mate ). If we’re gonna say anyone’s opinion on here is worthless the moment some “top managerâ€

I don't think Diaby is great player - average at most and yes i think if you are comparing it to the other greats that have worn the arsenal jersey then yes he is crap...

but what is the point in trying dis the player if he has got the arsenal shirt on? surely it would be better to support the lad.?

But who’s not supporting him? Someone stating on here that they don’t think he should be playing ahead of others or that he’ll ever cut the mustard doesn’t mean that when they go to the match they don’t give him the benefit of the doubt & get behind him just like every other player in the shirt! At least as long as he’s putting in enough effort to warrant it. And to be honest there’s times when he doesn’t, but all things considered I’ve never heard people really getting on his back that much.

I just don’t see how in order to “support the ladâ€

That body language can indeed account for 70 to 80 percent of communication, I believe too many people have misinterpreted the humility Cesc showed upon scoring the fourth goal for something that, imho, is simply not there but helps give weight to (yawn) tabloid gossip.

Only a couple of yards away from goal & a reactionary training ground back-heel as opposed to an intentional, venomous pile-driver or considered lob, he merely showed why he's captain of The Arsenal & a fantastic role model. In an instant he made a statement of intent for his band of brothers 'Nowt to get carried away with boys, we've simply done our job'. With no disrespect to Wigan, who I like as they look to play good football, MUFC & CFC would expect to beat them 3 or 4 zip @ home without fuss. From what I could see, his reaction was borne of genuine humility & respect for fellow professionals along with quick thinking & cleverness following Adebayors contrasting behaviour of the previous week, nothing more, nothing less. I'm of the opinion that Cesc does not crave being the 'Star Player' as such but rather being in a team full of star players & the one responsible for them producing star performances, like Denis Bergkamp.

On Adebayor, I don't think he should receive a ban for the celebration as he didn't breach any rules. Warned as to his future conduct & fined a few quid but no more than that. What's being lost in translation is that he didn't want to leave Arsenal, hence acting like a guy just dumped by his girlfriend & pretending he's not bothered whilst his actions say otherwise. We as Arsenal fans should close this chapter & acknowledge he had the ability to be the best target man going but lacked the mentality to achieve it & or prevent himself disappearing up his own backside.

But even Dennis would have at least managed a teeny weeny smile had he scored. Cesc looked positively miserable and you're right. too much is being made of it but it was still a surprising reaction to scoring a goal!

I think the point is Cesc usually celebrates like crazy so it was odd to see him looking half-arsed and miserable. But given that he celebrated the first two golas on saturday, and given that we know he's had a few knocks, I think we can say he may have not been feeling right. He also gave us in block 23 a wave before a free kick on saturday so I wouldn’t say he's dreaming of strolls down the Ramblas just yet . Still, his overall attitude seems to be one of exasperation at the moment - whether with his being kicked by the opposition, his fitness or with his incompetent sidekicks in midfield, who knows.

Adebayor loved Arsenal and therefore is just hurting and rejected? Er, I don’t think a spurned boyfriend has usually can feel aggrieved if held his girlfriend to ransom for loads of money first (well, most men, I can’t account for what DB10 gets up to  ) Nor would he be coming out with statements like 'Arsenal need to pay me what they paid Henry, if they do I stay, if they don’t I won't', 'Milan are like Beyonce' etc. Though that’s enough talk about that cuntslop. Cesc's celebration or lack of had nothing to do with Adebayor.
