My first away game was August 1993, Sheffield Wednesday away. We lost 1-0 :(

For the record favourite away game is 3-0 win away to Chelsea at the end of the 96-97 season, Wright, Platt (i think) and Bergkamp scored.

Another good one was Bolton away in the FA Cup in 2007. I remember watched Diaby and Denilson running the midfield thinking, we're sorted if Cesc gets injured - these two are dynamite together  :-P
it was also Freddies last Arsenal goal (place went mental) and Baptista missed TWO pens

After that I've been going to the game at Fulham since 05, been quite a few aways since. Actually I went to Sunderland in 03 in the home end though.
Kanu's hat-trick against Chelsea was absolutely incredible, especially the third goal, it's up there in my favourite all time AFC moments :barscarf:
Same. I remember only getting the "jumping around like a madman" after the first goal... never looked back..

You were at Sunderland in 03 me too. My first away. Just followed any Gooners I could find in groups around right into the stadium of light. Terrific win and all I could think was "how are we not Champions" as United wasn't a patch on us really that year. Soon as it ended followed Gooners back to the trains the same way. Lesson being never leave London on your own for your first away.

Our away support was of course marvellous and made the whole experiemce absolutely awesome. Top Gooners to a man - and woman. and the trains up and down were fabullous. Almost as good as the trains to and from Cardiff the next week, which is saying something.

2-2 at the lane the day we won the title. One of the best days of my life.

The atmosphere was unbelievable. When Pires scored we were going mental and I remember taking a hit on the noggin during the celebrations and it felt very sore after wards, but it was well worth it.

To complete a marvelous day, the scum make it 2-2 in the dying minutes and celebrate like they've won the fucking quadruple; only to realize shortly after that we've won the title at their shithole of a ground.

Goodison park 1972 FA cup semi final replay.
Aged 8
Won 2v1

Cant remember that much about it apart from the Scousers breaking most coach windows and thieving anything they could!

Nothing changes

Rangers 1 Arsenal 2 - December 1989 in the Zenith Data Systems Cup.

Sort of unofficial British championship decider.

Paul Davis scored that night, Can't remember if it was Smudger or Adams who got the other.

Froze my bollocks off that night.

Heard a few stories about this one, took place during a train strike so it was hard for lots of ours to get there and those that did, as you say, took it from the bindippers big time but on the field we got a result :barscarf: Unfortunately the final against Leedsl was'nt such a good result  :banghead:

Had to look up fixtures from 20-odd years ago online to try to remember this.

Thinking my 1st away may have been Charlton at Selhurst Park on Boxing Day 1988 (aged 9).

First away I have some clear memory of would be Wimbledon at Plough Lane on 1st day of 90/91 season.

I am top of the Online Gooner fantasy premier league by the way.
