The wait is over !
I can safely predict that if the Imperious One retains fitness and plays in an advanced midfield role, he will show a level of class that will have even his harshest critics on here eating out of his hand.
Even hampered by a series of injuries his class has always shone through, as recently as the last game he played in at Craven Cottage. RvP has shown what a decent run of fitness can do to a man, coupled with being played in your best position week after week. I'm predicting similarly great things for the Wonder of Abou. Form and fitness are temporary, class is permanent

Don't worry SteveO - I'm here to back you up!!SteveO 35 wrote:Where is my old mate I Hate Hleb to be the mediator and seeker of truth and justice in these debates?

These heathens know not what they say and have forgotten the magical spells The Imperious One casts whenever he is on a football field!!

Never fear though, fellow believer. We may have been among the very few that always kept faith during the dark days, but he's back now and when he guides us to a seemingly unlikely looking Premiership and Champion's League double, he will have all and sundry - even augie - falling at his glorious feet in praise and worship of the one they call The Great Abou!!

I am starting to visualise a thread, started by Augie and endorsed by Babatunde entitled "Abou - I was wrong and I'm sorry" in May 2012, shortly after a glorious night in Munich when the Imperious One weaves his magic. I just hope we can keep him when Barca come calling. We already lost two of our lesser midfielders in the Summer so we need to keep hold of our star menI Hate Hleb wrote:Don't worry SteveO - I'm here to back you up!!SteveO 35 wrote:Where is my old mate I Hate Hleb to be the mediator and seeker of truth and justice in these debates?![]()

It's the follow up to An Imperious Night in Munich
Following the critically acclaimed biographies 'Imperious Night in Munich' & 'Abou and the Ballon D'or' we discover how Arsenal & French National team captain single handily wins the World Cup for France.
Not all was plain sailing as his team mates constantly let him down and hampered group sprits. However, the ever professional Abou lifted moral combining with skilful displays drags his team mates to Footballing Worlds glory.
