If however wenger has no number 1 choice in his mind and is still at the stage where he is letting gibbs and santos battle to be first choice then he should without doubt sign baines......regardless of cost. Fact is, that everton are skint and should be ripe for picking and I am also thinking of rodwell when I say that.

Btw am I the only one who thinks a right back should be ahead of left back in the priority list ? Not ideal I know but tv5 can play left full but we wint got a rb at all
I'm with you on Baines!

Why not buy one that will improve our squad as opposed to finding a stop gap who's club don't want him as let's face it, loan players are cast offs.
Agree 100% with you.If bridge is not good enough or rated enough by mancini why the fuck would he be good enough for us.But knowing how cheap our manager is it could happen
I have no doubt it will happen and I have no doubt van Persie will leave as stunts like this don't show a club with ambition IMO.

Thank God Sagna is now running, if he comes back sooner rather than later then we may get away with carrying one naff full back, don't think we can with two.

this wayne bridge story is a bit of a wind up...its just arsewipe journalists trying to add two and two together. they see Wenger in need of a full back and see wayne bridge out of favour and make an assertion. dont believe it untill it happens.

Remember when we signed a relatively unknown player by the name of Patrick Vieira and we also signed Gilles Grimandi? Grimandi wasn't your 'Arsenal type of player', but the rumour is that he was bought so that Vieira had some French company to help him settle. Maybe something is going on with Bridge and the younger players? Is he a good example to have around the training ground? Maybe. Don't believe the papers. If he is signed then there is a reason for it and I'm sure we are never going to be deemed important enough to find out.

As for being a feeder club for Manchester City? Ha ha ha! Clichy's lapses of concentration finding him caught in possession in our penalty box usually led to penalties (Villareal away Champions League semi) or a goal - Birmingham away when Eduardo's career was effectively finished. Clichy was a liability. Toure was never the same after his Malaria and I'm surprised we got as much as we did for him, Adebayor? Ha ha - they can have him and Nasri? Well what can I add to any sentiment about Nasri - he had half a season in how many exactly?

Don't let the papers and the media get you wound up!

Are you a wum ? What the fcuk could bridge teach any young player ? How to walk around in a complete daze as your captain and team-mate is banging the arse off your girlfriend ? FFS there is no possible reason that could be used to defend such a ridiculous signing.

FYI we signed remi garde as a "babysitter" for the young PV4 not grimandi

I personally don't believe we'd sign Bridge, but the point I was making is that we don't know if there is an ulterior motive for it do we?

Yea, Remi Garde - I stand corrected!!

Two problems there.

1) many of Wenger's signings, I hope they have exterior motives, because to you and me they look like completely fucking dreadful decisions.

2) see the bolded bit. This is a disgrace IMO, we seem to mean fuck all to Arsenal.... All they do is pay lip service to the fans' organisations and at the AGM. The BSM have got this one bang on.

I hate to say it, but what we want is not very high on the Board of Directors list is it?

He's dating Frankie Sandford from the Saturdays whos 22 and was 17 on FHM's top sexiest women poll. Good on him :barscarf: :barscarf:

However, Bridge is no longer good enough for us. I'd rather see Verm /Miquel stay on the left.
