Thank fuck the season is nearly done. Booked a holiday today for the final two weeks of August and will be oblivious to the start of next season and all the shambolic dealings that occur within the run up to the close of the transfer window.
I expect when I see the first game in September I'll be watching Moussa Sow up front on his own, Nick Powell making his debut with 10 midfielders out injured, Miquel at left back because the other two permacrocks are out, and a sub's bench that looks as dangerous as a comatose butterfly

Pretty much exactly what I've done this year mate and to be honest I've enjoyed the additional money. The team winds me up just as much but at least I have done myself out of thousands of pounds at the same time. This upcoming window will be just as much of a shambles as the last one. Imagine what happens next if we finish 5th, RvP delays the contract talks till after Euro 2012, then comes back and wants time off etc......it'll be the same old refusal to face facts from Wenger and the board once more
We will lose our captain and one remaining world class player this Summer. Very much the beginning of the end for project Wenger, and I for one will not be wasting thousands of pounds on tickets and travel to watch the predictable become the grim reality

all summer will be the RVP transfer saga, will he, won't he nonsense - RVP will leave just like Cesc, because Wenger will again promised big signings, and then fail to deliver

If only that was the consequence. Unfortunately the inverse of that is happening: It's a lot of the once loyal fans that are giving up their tickets to be replaced by the 'event' chasers and day trippers who only come every now and again and don't have the same emotional investment of those who used to turn out - even when we really were shit!! - but now feel abandoned by the clubs pursuit of the pound note!! .

if it's non renewals of season tickets then it can't by definition be "'event' chasers and day trippers"
