THE ARSENAL TRADITIONS

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Have a gander at the link I sent, you can see them all on the day in their suits!

1. I was wondering why this change has happened and now I know......the club is coining it in again  The suit designer has become "Arsenal's Official Partner" translates into, we are making a few quid from this deal

2. Slim fitting shirts ?? How the fcuk is the worlds greatest danish striker going to work this then ?

I have to say that I do like the fact that the article refer's to the appearance of unity wearing the matchday suits will bring the squad

In an effort to further annoy the Ayatollah of Opinions (g88ner the Stitchbitch) I'm going to say I would prefer we had actually brought back the dark blazer with gold cannon on breast pocket and grey slacks rather than suits.

For the rest of you, the suits are a step in the right direction deffo. Well done Arsene. 8) But now your work is done. Please leave. 8) 8)

I thought this too.
But the suits are at least a step in the right direction.

With this new trend to uplift standards, maybe now we can also bring back suits for people who dig holes in the road?
When your Irish countrymen were employed to do that sort of thing during the days of my youth in 70's and 80's London, they would be decently turned out in a suit, sometimes wearing a tie and cardigan too, and proper shoes.
Now we have these scruffy chaps in hi-vi vests and hard hats...I mean just how does a bright yellow waistcoat match a white hat and grey hooded top of the type worn by teenage wastrels from the lower orders?
A sartorial crime wave.
It's a disgrace!

No racist intent meant at all.
Was my attempt at a tongue in cheek phrase that you might have heard during those times, sorry if it read otherwise.

Quality episode. 8)

"Sunday Bloody Sunday. What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you just think 'Sunday, bloody Sunday!'.
