Manure game tube strike.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Latest from Tfl:

I am writing to let you know that the RMT and TSSA unions have called two 48 hour Tube strikes over changes we are proposing to make to our services. If the strikes go ahead, they will start from 21:00 Tuesday 4 February until 20:59 Thursday 6 February and from 21:00 Tuesday 11 February until 20:59 Thursday 13 February.

We will be working hard to give you information in advance about the level of service we expect to be able to operate. For the latest travel information, please visit tfl.gov.uk

The changes that we are proposing to make will mean more staff will be visible and available, with stations staffed and controlled at all times services are running. We will introduce a 24 hour service on core parts of the Tube at weekends from 2015.

For details of our plans, please visit tfl.gov.uk/futuretube

Doesn't really look like much has been effected. The victoria line which a lot of gooners will be using is pretty much running fine

Seriously, the Victoria line every 5 mins and no Piccadilly line means absolute chaos. Most other lines connecting to main line stations also affected.

I suppose during rush hour its going to be even worse. I just expected there to be no service so was quite surprised they had the victoria line running.

If you seriously believe that you will be able to do this with any real success, you probably believe we are going to do the treble! Best bet for you (seriously) is the Overground from Clapham Junction.

This was my back up , I take it it's going to be an absolute nightmare isn't it!? I can't remember attempting to travel in a similer situation, the games are always called off! I'm not missing this game!

Question for chippy

If I leave the morning of the match I will be getting to paddington at 6.30pm. How would I be fixed for a tube or taxi. I presume traffic will be mental at that time as well. Alternatively I could leave the night before and get to paddington in the morning at 7.30 am which would cut out all the rushing around but would be banjaxed after travelling all night.

The best I can come up with is getting the 205 bus to Angel Islington but given the traffic will be horrendous I wouldn't guarantee you would get there for ko!

Other possibility would be Bakerloo to Willesden Jct and then the Overground to Highbury, but getting on the tube with such a reduced service may be very difficult.

Sorry mate.

My understanding, after talking to a steward friend is that the club are waiting to see how much disruption there is this week before deciding if game goes ahead or not. And we should know by Friday???

I presume relevant authorities ie police will have big say aswell??
