Manure game tube strike.

Manure game tube strike.

Post by VoiceOfReason »

So there's going to be a tube strike on the day of our home game with Man Utd (Feb 12).

Wonder if it will be postponed, like our Boxing Day games have been over the years?

Update: LBC Radio's website now pondering the same question: "Arsenal's key Premier League game against Manchester United on 12th February is now in danger of being postponed, with 60,000 fans unable to get to The Emirates Stadium."

I was over for the manure game in highbury many moons ago when wrighty decided that he was gonna break the red nose racists legs ( ) - on the way to the game that night, the tube broke down and we all get off god knows where and had to walk (for what appeared to be miles  ) the rest of the way. That game was also played on a midweek night and it absolutely pissed down rain all night long :(

I'd have thought it would be postponed, seeing as about 90% of the people attending will probably travel via the tube. No one will want to play in an empt stadium.

Would be fuming if this was called of got my flight booked from Belfast and hotel and all booked. Buses will still be running and is there not normally a limited service on tube when they are striking

Chippy is always quite clued-up, (as opposed to Hlebby who is always drugged-up  ) about all things transport.
Ive been offered a club-level seat for this one so I hope the disruption isnt too severe.

I've split this out as requested. Given what TfL are proposing I do not expect either side to back down. Personally I would cancel if there is no tube but BT sport would be mega upset if it got postponed. Will post any updates.

Is this just the tube or is the overground affected too?
