I always enjoyed the full scale Highbury "'we're the bank", followed by "we're the clock" and the odd "we're the east" and the very rare "we're the west" upon which the other 3 stands cheered with sheer surprise at the elderlys of the west stand.

was anyone else there the day the "ian wright, wright, wright" chant started? I'm seem to remember it happened by accident after the north bank sang, ian wright, then the clock end did and somewhere the timing between the two overlapped, there was a silent pause then the clock end started singing ian wright, wright, wright...

not sure why it caught on so much as basically it was very juvenile, childish and repetitive but at the time was very much a part of the football experience.

That still makes me laugh even today. For about two or three years, every goalkeeper at whatever level of the game had that shouted at them by whoever was watching.

The funniest addition I heard to that song was when we were tanking the Shammers (4-0 at half time I think) and the Clock End were adding "You've got Iain Dowie" after each line
