old chants
old chants
I was listening to the radio and "que sera, sera" came on. As I was singing the arsenal version I totally forgot the middle part. I remember the beginning;
"when I was just a little boy I asked my father who would I be, will I be Chelsea? will I be spurs? here's what he said to me...wash your mouth out son..."
And that where my memory goes blank, can anyone remember the rest...

"You're so shit it's unbelievable..."
Or if you're Iraq to Iran after their Asian cup win:
"You're so shiite it's unbelievable"

Re: old chants
I used to like it when just before half time or full time, when all the old bill used to come out of the stands and walk round the side of the pitch to stop people getting on (before stewards were around), the North Bank would do the 'Laurel and Hardy' tune, always used to make me laugh
Always used to love how loud it was when we sang the 'Hark now hear the Arsenal sing.....', I remember it being possibly the loudest chant we did back then.

If you want to be champions side with Arsenal.
Did that chant actually exist or was it a figment of my 7 year old imagination?

Re: old chants
We all agree, Brady is better than Hoddle

Re: old chants
We were at the emirates on boxing day and we did not here this song once which was a shame because of the boxing day line . In fact i can't remember many old songs at all, maybe a couple of half heartened goes at the wanky spurs going to see the pope. The lack of songs was a bit embarrassing really .TeeCee wrote:I used to like it when just before half time or full time, when all the old bill used to come out of the stands and walk round the side of the pitch to stop people getting on (before stewards were around), the North Bank would do the 'Laurel and Hardy' tune, always used to make me laugh![]()

(To the tune of The First Noel):
Brady, Brady, Brady, Brady
Born is the King of Highbury
Usually followed by:
Hoddle, Hoddle, Hoddle, Hoddle
Born is the Queen of Golders Green
And this one which was sung on the packed North Bank (to the tune of Those Were The Days):
It's f*cking hot in here, it's f*cking hot in here,
It's f*cking hot. It's f*cking hot in here.
Brady, Brady, Brady, Brady

Re: old chants
I stand to be corrected but only ever heard that being sung for Chippy and the two Charlies. What an elite clubBen Diesel wrote:(To the tune of The First Noel):

Probably could and should have been sung for others but don't ever remember hearing it.
Always loved Good Old Arsenal ......
