Manure v Arsenal

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

well call me a spud because I don't feel an ounce of anger or any ill feeling towards the man. His statement spoke the truth about the club, he has shown immense respect to us despite some of the stupid songs coming from the away section at OT yesterday and it was always on the cards anyway. I knew he was going to leave as soon as the celebrations after the WBA match last season started.
Ashley Cole is far more deserving of any abuse. He was an actual gooner growing up, came through our academy, won things with us, kissed the badge, then literally fucked off to the plastics for more money and has acted like a classless, mouthy *word censored* since. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out who's the betrayer here does it?

To an extent I agree with you but would say that Adebayor is the worst of the fucking lot. Had one good season, started demanding Henry level wages, got his deal, performed pathetically for a year (his 'efforts' in the CL semi final at OT really stick in my throat the useless lazy *word censored*) then fucked off to City and ran the length of the field to abuse the fans. No bigger *word censored* than him and since then the City fans and now even the Spuds fans have grown to realise what a disgusting, useless mercenary *word censored* the bloke is....and not even a very good one.

cant chant and make fun of the oppo?? - what a bunch of middle class toffs you are
Nobody actually said that, so you're point is fictitious and pointless.

I've explained the reasons why I think that song is cringe-worthy, and it's nothing to do with being over-sensitive or middle class. Feel free to disagree or pull me up on my points, but all that "middle class toff" bullshit is just stringing together a meaningless sentence without actually saying anything.

I wouldn't waste your breath mate. My love of Arsenal started when I was 5 because my Dad (a Gooner since the 1950s) took me along to my first match then. By Phil Mitchell's argument I shouldn't have been there because I'd have been too young to know anything about football.

Having grown up as a son of parents born during the war and grown up in an average two bedroom terrace house in a shit area, it would also seem I'm middle class because unless I'm standing in a fountain singing "There were 10 German bombers" or laughing about people losing their lives I'm a toff.

Don't forget the FA Cup semi against Chelsea. At the other end Drogba ran his guts out for 90 minutes and his graft helped him capitalise on yet another costly mistake by an Arsenal keeper down the years, while Adebayor just gave the impression of somebody that didn't want to be there.

I can see what you're saying about RvP but at the end of the day we carried him for six and a half seasons and he made a lot of stupid comments about how success would mean far less elsewhere and dreaming of playing for the club as a boy. His statement may have contained some harsh truths that echo with the general sentiments of this forum but from his end it was entirely self-serving and designed to detract attention away from him being a turncoat rather than actually trying to help the club in the long-run. He made it impossible for us to force him to see out the final year on his contract by slagging off the club and his team-mates in that statement, despite the bollocks Wenger comes out with about the captain being a less important role nowadays I expected far far better from somebody with that responsibility at the Arsenal than training on his own etc because he's publicly engineered a move to that bunch of *word censored*. He might not have come out with pathetic comments about the fans like Nasri but everything else was bad enough, especially that "little boy inside" bollocks. He's a huge *word censored*.

I find it hard to hold a grudge again RvP. Why on earth should he have stayed? He will have seen close up whether there is any real football related ambition and plans in the club.

After so many trophyless seasons the top players will quite rightly question Arsenal's ambition and assess their chances of winning something.

If RvP wins something with the Mancs then he will feel justified in his move and stick two fingers up to the critics.

The club should not have sold him to the Mancs. Wenger and the board are at fault not RvP.

I'm still fucking amazed by what Santos did at Half Time. Does he actually not have any intelligence? Not only do you not do that at HT with any opponent but to do it with someone who rightly or wrongly is not liked anymore is just outrageous.
Fat, slow and only 2 more brain cells than something at the bottom of a pond....Arsene's super quality stars of 2012 :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

He is one of the biggest disgraces to ever wear the shirt. He's seriously overweight and unfit for a professional footballer, his attitude stinks and his reckless driving and constant use of Twatter is an absolute embarrassment. He clearly has no idea what it means (or used to) to wear the AFC shirt and doesn't look like anybody has told him. I seriously hope we're not stuck with the *word censored* for another few years because we've given him a fittingly bloated contract. At least the other twats like Cole, Nasri, Adebayor and RvP all contributed on the pitch at one point or another, this guy has made zero positive contribution to go along with his complete apathy.

The bloke is an absolute fucking disgrace and should never play for the club again - but he will, probably in midweek. I'm waiting for the club to prepare some sort of statement on the bloke's behalf explaining it all away as some sort of private arrangement and that he would never ever be disrespectful to the club etc etc. No doubt the old 'cultural differences' argument will come into play - there was already some knobhead of Twatter trying to explain how it's common practice in Brazil (can our Brazilian gooners please confirm). I'm as gobsmacked as you mate - the worst player on the field, being ripped to shreds and then hugging the bloke who has just shat all over us. Incredible

agree It also happened at halftime in the QPR game, not sure who it was as he was obscured by others leaving the pitch, but it did happen. I just can't believe a footballer hasn't more important things on his mind at halftime. It was one of the worst of many bad moments following Arsenal recently   :(

Agree mate, who can blame him for leaving a stale, sinking ship for Man U, admittadly they are *word censored* but the biggest *word censored* are Wenger and the board for selling him to them, when they analysed his performance on sky yesterday it fucking hurt, especially when you compare him to shit like Giroud and to a lesser extent Podolski

Fuck off Wenger you *word censored*

sorry RVP is fair game now and if you get paid 200k p/w you can afford to take a few digs - this one made me chuckle

"he'll blow himself up"

"he'll blow himself uuuuupp"

"you're sons al-qaeda"

"he'll blow himself up"

we all know as fans what we will be hearing when we go to footie funny and distasteful chants in equal measures

the Leeds fans will always get it about Istanbul
man u fans will always get it about Munich
Liverpool fans will always get it about Hillsborough
the spurs fans will always get it about the holocaust
and we will always get it about Wenger

so stop being over sensitive

just for the record, there are no such things as AKB's anymore just those posh gits who can afford to take there kids to the emirates. the kids are too young to know about football and the parents are just there to look after them, you have you're tourist element who are there for a day out....no real fan wants wenger anymore. so do away with these AKB comments in future please.
Yeah, you won't be missed dickhead, making stupid fucking statements like these.

Who exactly will "the spurs fans always get it about the holocaust" from? Our Jewish fans? Because we have as many as, if not more, Jewish fans than the scum you fucking wannabe hardman mong.

Banter is one thing but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed and anyone that does is a twat, be they working class, middle class or toff.

Seriously, fuck off.
