That is the blind luck of last season.

And it's that kind of blinkered statement that cannot allow you to see past the failings of the club right now. Given a similar situation next year I imagine with 25 games gone and if we lie in fifth you'll be on here spouting how it's a 38 games season and what not.
My man, it is not a good thing to be in that kind of position no matter what the final outcome. Will you only see that if we come in fifth one year? Cos it'll be to bloody late by then pal.
If you look at my posts I can see where we need to improve pal, I dont make any concessions to the fact we are not currently good enough to win the league. I agree, we should not have been in that position, but we were and we had to react, hopefully it wont be the case next year with some good adittions to the squad.

It is your blinkered statements that cannot allow you to see that all is not as bleak as you make out.
You point to a tiny part of the problems as reason to say you are not blinkered? Where is the admission that Wenger fucked up with tactics, substitutions, formations? No, I'm afraid I see a much bigger picture, I can see the team has potential if the right players are picked in the correct positions with a decent formation.
Here we go, its turned from talking about Man City to having a go at Wenger, didnt take too long did it

I think Andrey makes some excellent points about both Villa and Man City, at the end of the day we finished well above both of them last season, and that was the argument about reality, the reality is we were far stronger than them over 38 games, at which part of the season they lost the most points is irrelevant.

Its all well and good coming out with things like 'if Villa had lots of money they would have finished fourth' would they? wheres the proof in that...and they didnt have the spending power so again its irrelevant!

its also all well and good saying if City sign this player and that player they will be finishing higher than us, its just hypothetical nonsense, i could come up with something to counter it every time mate because its basically just making things up, thats easily done!

say Man city do buy three good players, or the ones that have been strangely added to their team on this thread, that doesnt automatically mean they will finish above us, as with those players i still believe our team is stronger, has more quality and a better boss in charge!

who is saying we wont sign two or three real class players, the same as city might? its all just things is peoples minds, nobody knows, but if i was to bet i would bet that we finish above Villa and City again, and quite comfortably....again!

some of your heads are full of bloody magic!

Are you seriously suggesting players coming straight out of our youth team - or anyones - can go head to head with the likes of Barry, Tevez and Lescott over a Prem Season ?

If we are relying on that and City are signing proven internationals, it's 'Hello Fifth/Sixth or whatever place' very soon.

At last the answer, Number 5 for manager, how have we missed this!
As there was no wink or emotion to signify you are being candid, I'm going to imagine you were.

Because being anything else doesn't bode well for you my friend.

Exactly, how many people called for Vela to play after his hat trick and then turned on him during the run of nil nils in Jan?

How many questioned Ramsey after a couple of run outs because he didn't dominate midfield?

My man, I would suggest you to put up a poll about yourself, a la One2Smooth. You may find the results to be quite shocking.

Me? I don't come on here to make friends and care very little what people actually think of me.

But I do know that I talk way more sense than you.

Put a poll up about myself? that is one of the saddest suggestions i have ever heard, i am actually starting to wonder if you are a bit simple?

oh thats annoying, as i really wanted to be mates, im so interested in what you have to say, i could listen to you for hours

i just wish i spent my whole time moaning about how bad Arsenal are, i really wish i could believe that Man City and Villa are far superior because they have bought a couple of people, guess i will never be able to, one can only dream...for now i will just have to see that Arsenal are clearly worthy of a top four place in the premiership and with one or two reinforcements can go further to back where we belong

work is over for me now so i am off to the gym, and they dont have a laptop so i will end with this post for the day, im hoping both Andrey and BDB ontinue to comment on this thread to drown out the total nonsense you are talking

have a nice afternoon

Come on you Gunners!! :barscarf:

Going back to point about Youth players, did i say i meant in the short-term no? Did i say the team needs improving? Yes.

We can go on all day about IFS AND BUTS but the fact is we were 4th - Fact, nothing to do with Villa, we deserved to be there.

Hopefully we can get a few signing in of our own and we can push on now and not worry about whats happening to other clubs.

Swale mate, you will find that most topics on here end up having a go at Wenger!

Getting back on the subject of man shitty'smillions, the difference with them and chavski is the manager!!!moanringhole threw money at players leftright and center but hughes if allowed to run the team and choose HIS players then maybe in 2 season's there could be a real threat to all the top 4 clubs unlike chavski who might have brought 2 titles haven't really threatened to win it again. Also another arab geezer i believe is going to buy pompey so are we going to see them become a threat in the near future???????

Actually, as the thread starter, can I point out that it was a humourous thread about the fact that Hughes and Bush look quite similar.
