As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

But at some point (which has probably been & gone) he either has to tell his bezzie mates to shut the fuck up with these sort of quotes or he’s as culpable for them as Pique/Xavi etc by way of condoning them. If they’re all so close then Cesc has it in his power to tell them to show Arsenal some respect, for his sake if nothing else. I don’t expect him to say anything publicly but just tell Pique & friends to shut their collective paella-hole for 5 bloody minutes.
Unless of course these quotes are all the work of some scummy Spanish tablod in which case forget the above & let's just call them cunts instead.
paella-hole very good work IU
More or less agree with this. I mean, there isn't anything happening that's unexpected.
Fabregas has asked to leave, Wenger more or less said no...he's at the world cup and talking to his old mates...Wenger will try the Henry trick of one more year as a patch up...
Erm no he hasn't. In the press conference that he gave Cesc did not give that impression at all, and i've seen nothing to say otherwise either. Cesc did not hand in a transfer request. From my understanding of it, the way it planned out was that a few papers started running a story about Cesc wanting to leave Arsenal for Barca, all because of an interview in which Cesc said that he would love to one day play at barca.
The papers ran with this story and started saying that Cesc had handed in a transfer request.
But then Cesc gives his first official interview on the matter, in which he says it's not "in his hands" and that he's leaving it "up to Wenger" with whom he had "probably the greatest conversation of my life with". Now does that sound like the words of someone who is trying to force his way out the club? Why would he say "it is between Arsenal and whoever else it may be", if he is the one who wants to leave? Surely this shows the complete opposite as he's bascially saying that it is up to Arsenal to choose whether they want to sell him or not, as ultimately he wouldn't mind going to barca, but in no way is him telling Arsenal that he wants to leave.

Its silver or silverware and we offer neither now. We won't offer more silver though we do have it and can't over more silverware because we don't have it.
Hard enough just getting a fucking silver membership, let alone anything else.
Wenger is not commenting the game, he'll comment tomorrow.
But the journalist confirmed he'll have a meeting tomorrow morning with Barcelona's directors where he'll tell them "Cesc isn't for sell". That's what the journalists, who are with Wenger during all the WC, just said on french tv.
You know the players should elarn from their manager. He's the only one whose come out with any credit in all this, when he refused to talk about Cesc saying he was Arsenal player.
Cesc Fabregas is refusing to discuss his future, but claims he stands by comments he has made in the past.
The Arsenal midfielder, who tasted World Cup glory with Spain at this summer's World Cup, continues to find himself at the centre of a long-running transfer saga.
Primera Liga giants Barcelona have been chasing his signature for a while, with the player himself admitting that he would welcome a switch to Camp Nou.
As a Catalan native, Fabregas has often expressed a desire to return to his roots at some stage.
It was reported prior to the World Cup that he had informed Gunners boss Arsene Wenger of his wish to head back to Spain, and Barca subsequently saw an official approach knocked back.
Things have failed to progress since then, with events in South Africa taking centre stage, but the transfer mill is set to spring back to life now the World Cup is over.
Future
Fabregas is determined to steer clear of the speculation for as long as possible, but he has admitted that he still harbours an ambition to play for Barca sooner rather than later.
"I have not spoken to anybody in the last few days and I want to ignore anything regarding my future for now," he said.
"I want to enjoy my holidays and I don't want to talk about Barcelona at this moment.
"I make no apologies for the comments I have made in the past. I have expressed my interest in returning and I stand by that, as that is my personal wish."
Reports in Spain suggest Barca officials have once again looked to make contact with their Arsenal counterparts, with newly-appointed president Sandro Rossell keen to complete his summer transfer business as quickly as possible.
It is claimed that Barca are only prepared to hold out until the end of the July in their efforts to land Fabregas before turning their attention elsewhere
On Sky Sports News now Barca president says there are NO talks between the clubs. He admits Barca have hurt Arsenal in their persuit, he goes on to say that no (Barca) director will sanction a £70m bid for Cesc, they will only pay his value. I think the new President is a realist and he is looking for a way out of this mess that Laporte and the Barca players have created.
This has to be the biggest attempt at tapping up a player who is under contract at another club.I hope to fuck the people at arsenal are taking note of all these quotes coming from barca and their players. They should be making a dossier of this and making a formal complaint to UEFA or FIFA AND IF THEY DONT DO ANYTHING THEY SHOULD TAKE LEGAL ACTION. Its a disgrace and the silence from that wanker blatter and platini is also a disgrace. Its blatant tapping up and yet not a peep out of these c--ts.

A realist maybe, but otherwise just as much of a *word censored* as anyone else connected to Barca: "Arsenal feels very hurt by Barca. They don't want to listen to offers.....He will arrive, even if it is not now, it will be next year. We will see".
He actually makes it sound like we're being totally unfair by not engaging in discussion to sell a player who isn't for sale.....
And then the cheeky fucker makes things worse by saying that their way of getting Arsenal to sell is to offer the market price.....
Fuck me! I know Cesc wants to get into bed with them, but I don't see why we should just open our legs for a couple of san miguels....!!
