Cesc Subregas
He's getting the last 25 minutes against Honduras when Spain are already 2-0 up and cruising.

having just watched the season review dvd, i did fall back in love with him, what great goals, assists, passes, effort, Aston Villa home game for example, but still have the lingering doubt, but then we all knew this time would come...Cesc is God wrote:Might as well be. It will be hard to love him again, if he does stay.

Not having a go at you as such cig but I have to say that comments from some fans gaining pleasure at cesc's situation are disappointing to say the least
If cesc goes then we should remember the good times and wish him well cos he doesnt deserve us fans to turn against him like this and as you say it wont create a good enviroment if he is with us next season.
Cesc's current situation (on the subs bench) could lead to two possible outcomes -
1. It re-ignites his love for all things Arsenal where he is valued and loved by all so he decides to stay or
2. It convinces him that to break into this spanish team he will need to be back playing in la liga
I wonder if barca try and use this situation to try and drive the price down....he cant get into the spanish team where they have 3 midfielders ahead of him so how can he be valued at that price blah blah blah

Seriously?euphoricone wrote:This is with iniesta injured. So much for ' one of the best midfielders in the world'.

When Bouldy, Wrighty etc couldn’t get a game for England did you write them off as not being top-class? Or when Bobby wasn’t getting in the France team? Not having a dig just dont understand how Cesc is anything but one of the best midfielders of his type in the world.
Whenever I've seen Cesc play for Spain he has looked the part. Ok, so tonight the game was all but won when he came on, but he wasn't exactly annonymous.....
That said....I didn't feel that I was watching an Arsenal player. Really difficult to look at him at the moment as one of ours.... That will return of course, but with so many doubts about him staying the love has temporarily gone....!

I think a moving to Barcelona will be such a wrong move for him, at least for now.
Xavi has 2-3 good seasons left in him, and he's appreciated there even more than Messi (He deserves it, brillant season). Iniesta is still not at his top level, and he's one of the most admired players out there at 26. Both of them will be ahead of Cesc in the pecking order.
Unless Guardiola plans a whole different formation for Barcelona this season, I can't see Cesc playing there on a weekly basis.
I love him and hope he stays for many years, and I'm sure that this season, if he does stay, he will give everything for the club.

His goal against Juventus?northbankbren wrote:Good timesaugie wrote:If cesc goes then we should remember the good times :![]()

when were they?
His goal against AC Milan?
Breaking into the team and setting the record at the time for the youngest player?
Outstanding passes over the defence which contributed to half of Adebayor's goals in his best season?
Constantly providing passes that cut through the opposition defence?
Becoming Captain at such an age and not faltering under the pressure and instead showing immense desire and passion to win things with us?
So please dont post rubbish.
Of course Cesc is one of the best midfielders in the world; you either don't watch Arsenal much or you're just upset because he might be leaving, so you're lashing out. I think you need to get a grip.euphoricone wrote:This is with iniesta injured. So much for ' one of the best midfielders in the world'.
