Don't know much about the bid presentations or the process or anything, but I will say this. I've always wanted to go to a WC, and frankly Russia and Qatar are not enticing whatsoever. Qatar is particularly insulting. I realize FIFA is trying to spread its brand globally, but let's be serious - that's a bit of a joke.

Seriously though, what did people expect? Those FIFA officials have to make sure their 'retirement plans' are in place and by giving the World Cup to the Russians and Arabs, they've ensured exactly that.

Isn't there a serious crime problem over in Brazil? Which would only worsen by the influx of tourists that would be seen as easy prey? I imagine that would be the primary reason in stopping people from going over there.

That's it - Panorama and the BBC are going on the c**t thread!

Russa and Qatar put up by far the biggest govt support of funds - but were the weakest on FIFA inspection.

It's all about the money for FIFA, all about the exec committee members retirement plans (as IHH said).

Hope the media take FIFA to the cleaners from now on.

as much as i am gutted for england, russia does make sense, well more sense than port + spain etc. However QATAR??? What the F*^K is that all about? Where the fuck is it? How many stadiums do they have? Hotels?? honestly it makes no sense what so ever!!! At least they can say theyve played in a world cup i guess, will be the last time they ever do!!
