Marseille

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I know, what a twat, he says "get in" excitedly but doesn't realise he's said it out loud

I knew there would be a pause afterwards and he didn't disappoint, I also knew he would be thinking if something to cover himself, which again he didn't disappoint saying a couple of minutes later "I was convinced that was in, what a great save by chesney".

What a bell end.

A struggle to get more than 6 pages going on this exciting CL night of riveting group stage action.......and 3 of those were before a ball was kicked

My thoughts exactly :?
I don't think Giroud should take pens. Vastly vastly improved this year but still not a finisher and I'm not convinced he's particularly composed from that sort of range.

Was a piss-poor penalty mind. Ozil is effortlessly comfortable and shifts the ball around with absolute ease. But that's all he is at the moment: comfortable. He's not going to sweat his bollocks off chasing balls all around the pitch and diving into tackles (and nor would I want him to) but his body language still isn't that encouraging. Doesn't seem to be particularly enjoying his football.

Has been a fairly lazy performance but I'm not worried - they're piss-poor and I no longer feel like we're always on the verge of capitulating when we're only a goal ahead
Well he looked a damn site more composed than Ozil when smashing home the penalty against Southampton a few days ago NB. :D

Yeah Townsend is such a dick. He's the sort of pricks you get at your local club - generally grumpy older men who know fuck all and spend all game moaning to anybody that will listen. Nothing to say other than "should have done so-and-so", "could have done this instead), all fucking game.

Also can't believe ITV were actually surprised it wasn't an enthralling game. A team with no chance of qualifying with 4 defeats from 4 games turn up with their best players on the bench, what did they expect? We never got out of second gear but coasted to a victory with a clean sheet and no apparent damage on the injury or fatigue front, job done.
