Followed by the appeal, the extra nation and finally the backhander.

Thought tonight's game had all the subtly of a Sunday league game. Ireland were so dis- orgainised it was scary , John O'Shea was a second yellow card waiting to happen from early in the game. Brady couldn't cross his legs, let alone the ball, Whelan was his normal self which isn't much. The reality of where Ireland are shouldn't be lost on people because of the win against Germany.

Carragher is spot on that its never been easier to win an England cap. That kid from Spurs winning one was a joke. You've got Townsend who can't get into a piss-poor Spurs side but is involved. The likes of Vardy and Shelvey are just not England standard and won't be trusted Coke major tournament time so why go out of your way to crowbar them in?

Just chucking caps around like confetti.

Shelvey is one of the better midfielders in the England setup tbh. Very underated player

My thoughts too. It was like a pub match. O'Shea is a seriously stupid man. He was hands and arms on every player he went near.

Some hilarious comparisons between Ingerlish media and Oirish media last night. Skysports had Pack Bonner claiming the penno was a penno because even though the foul was clearly outside the box, they "both ended up in the box"!!  Not questioned by the Sky pundit, he was too busy admiring the "gutsy" Oirish performance. On RTE Brady and co called it right. Oireland not good enough and lucky to have gotten 3rd place.

And will be behind Carrick, Wilshere, Henderson, Barkley, Delph, Milner and even possibly Phil Jones in the CM role when it comes to the big boy games.

If Hodgson is going to revert to the same players come tournament time regardless, he may as well stick to his guns and give them as much playing time together as possible in the friendlies.

It's funny that people are saying that Ireland are not in a false place and deserve qualification because they took four points of Germany but fail to apply the same logic to Scotland who took four points off Ireland.

Also would like to highlight what a disgrace LemonDive-ski was last night. Truly a top top player but what a cheating diving piece of shite he is. Shameful that such a skilful player would resort to that. :|
