Re: Championship playoffs

Post by Sean »

I enjoyed my first trip to Wembley; seen Wimbledon beat Plymouth 2-0 in the League Two play-off final, as mentioned. That means they'll be playing Franchise FC next season. I was sorry for my mate's Dad, who got us the tickets. Plymouth packed the place out. You'd have thought that they were the local club.

There was a touch of the Arsenal's about Plymouth, had possession but hardly any chances. Ref was shite. Wimbledon made tons of niggling fouls and took advantage of the ref. Second half started very lively and the goals came. Amazed at some of the amateurish mistakes some players made; air-kicks, mis-kicks, no players showing for the ball, wrong passing choices being made, etc.

I was surprised at how fast the match passes by. We had good seats in the north stand upper tier by the half-way line. It's a shame our own club doesn't give a fuck about Wembley finals.
