Hang on a minute sutch, I'm not saying Eboue's the new Henry or anything but he had a decent game. Now it may have been against a promoted club and he wasn't brilliant but I'll credit where it's due even for players I've slated in the past.

I thought that Clichy and Nasri combined excellently on the left. Djourou was calm and composed and looked excellent. Big willy (no, not you Gus) was pretty assured and I have to join those giving credit to Eboue today. Piss poor shooting aside, I thought he did a good job in there today. Sagna was Sagna, quality but Ade was fucking useless. You could see some frustration toward him from others I thought. Overall 3 points will do but I do think we need to bury teams like that as goal difference is worth a point come May.
Right now, aside from todays game there is a comment I need to make. I've held my silence up to now on this issue but having read a couple of the comments on this thread, and a few others, I'm sorry to say that I have joined the club that think Calo is a troll and a wind up merchant.
I'm switching off from him/her/it from now on.

The substitution of Walcott to bring on Toure as a right-winger was a Wenger classic. He preaches about sending out the wrong messages to the younger players, and then brings on a centre-back on the wing, while leaving Wilshere and Vela warming up on the touchline.
maybe Walcott came off for Toure so that the former winger could get matchfitness given he has spent preseason being injured or ill? Vela, Wilshire and Walcott should be able to guess something on those lines if Arsene hasn't told them already. It was pretty clear Toure was going on during the entire second half

Toure was rushed back - very irresponsible imo - no need - if def was injured then fair enough

no wonder bentley left - wel shall lose whishire if we start doing stupid things like that

Crap descison imo

the game was crying out for Whilshire - we was playing WBA home not Inter milan away in the S-F

I see what you're saying Magic, but you don't play centre-halves on the wing for a bit of fitness at 1-0. Could have been costly as Toure played no part in the game whatsoever when he came on.

Sitting right above the west brom fans and the atmosphere was dire apart from a running commentary from two guys behind me who could only criticise everything our players did all game, I actually though they thought they were commentating, with their "you're absolutely right Tom" "Jon I dont understand why they're keeping the ball" - nonsense

As for Adebayor people wave money and boo him because, the guy spent the whole summer whoring himself to another club saying he needed to feel loved and wanted more money, when no one came in he went back to the club and doubled his money (something we wouldnt do for flamini what the fuck) and he played like a useless *word censored* all game.

As that bloke said earlier support any player who gives 100% and that will tell you why people booed adebayor.

Also no mention of why RVP didnt start did he have a knock?

Eboue played well, however, i would have switched him wide when toure came on, kolo looked miles short of match fit

what position did we buy Toure in? Yes Toure was poor but Arsene might have thought he would do better and at least offer Sagna some protection

You have his medical reports and are a doctor so know better then the Arsenal medical stuff on how fit Toure is for this?

Yes, the game was crying out for a sixteen year old who does not yet have the physique and was considered as too tired to play in the last game to come on ahead of Vela and we certainly didn't want to toughen up our defensive side by using a defender.

I watched from my Mexican hotel room at 6.30 this morning with Spanish commentry whose only words i could decipher were 'Howard webb' over and over again.

Have to say I couldnt see that Eboue was that good from my sleepy state but Gallas and Nasri looked great today. And even Almunia looked a bit more commanding. Bendtner and Ade didnt work at all as a partbnership, anyone know why RVP was on the bench to start with? Then i fell asleep through the Spurs game and hit the beach... 8)
