Toure's going!

He;ll have to sign someone, who are thse 7 players?

Gallas
Vermalen
Djorou
Poss senderos

who else? 3 from the reserves? doesn't make sense that. Wenger will have to sign SOMEONE, if he doesn't quite clearly either the board are fucking him up or he's lost it as a manager. There is no way you can sell two players and not at least replace one, or strengtehn in another department. We should have someone lined up so when Kolo goes that players already in.

Good deal for Toure anyway, sad to see him go in a way but have never been his biggest fan in defence. He'll get a good reaction anyway when he comes back.

Do you really think he'd let Toure go without anyone else coming in? Wenger knows from the shareholders meeting that there is genuine unrest and if he were to let the 2 Africans go and not bring anyone in, well I'd like to think he hadn't reached that level of losing his marbles just yet!!

Keep the faith boys.
Yes, because in the interview AW says 'we have 7 centre backs' - and goes on to say we will see how things develpo....Toure has been a wonderful servant to the club and deserves our thanks and respect.....But, he has one year left on his contract and is nowhere near the player he was...not since he was il with Malaria.....|Sad but True...

£15 mill is a good deal...I just hope the Feck AW doesn't let the board have it and so spends the £40 mill we now have from sale of greedy twat and Kolo....
Yes but when one of them is Senderos already I'm wondering if he was being serious. Well, all I'll say is that if Toure does go and I agree it is fantastic money for someone who's never been the same post malaria, and Wenger thinks we can challenge for trophies without a class pairing in the middle then........
wenger is deluded

I completley forgot about Silvestre! shows the impact he's had.

Perhaps wenger is refusing to say he wants a defender as the price will inevitably rise from clubs. Still can't name the other 2! he thinks are good enough cover.

Next year the pairing will be Gallas-Djorou which is pretty good, Vermalen cover, but we need someone ELSE.

I really am hoping we can expect more from Vermalen than as cover for Djourou!

Vermaelen will definatly be a starter next season, you dont spend 10 mil on the ajax captain to sit on the bench.

I dunno, I do rate Djourou, and with Gallas last year they were pretty good together (probably because they actually got on). He's also a big lad, with Vermalen/Gallas/Clichy/Sagna in defence god help us on corners.

And has been deluded for a long long time now. As I said before we would all like to think that this cash is going to result in a major quality injection into the team by means of top quality arrivals but history has shown us to have suffered several false hopes like this in the past few years :( Again I think failure to do the necessary team investment should result in a major supporter protest cos really and truely this cannot be allowed to continue :x The way I see it is if wenger refuses to bring in quality proven players then the board should sack him but if they dont then they should leave cos it is their responsibility to ensure that all employees, including the manager, do their job to the highest level today, tomorrow and every day in the future - work done a few years ago cannot be allowed to cover up shoddy work now
