Lehmann in talks to re-sign ( On SSN)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

i'd love to see lehman at the club again. he is an arsenal legend imo. top keeper, top bloke, a natural born winner. we need that type around the team.

Yes we do need that type around the team but the 25-29 year old versions not the 41 or under 19 versions

I always loved mad jens as a Gooner and would love to see him kick some serious backsides in that dressing room. Of course I am a bit concerned that should he get some playing time he might tarnish the rep he had with us first time around but saying that I always felt that he never got the love or respect that he deserved from us Gooners :(

If ever we needed a reason to point at in defence of our "Arsenal FC not Arsenal plc" campaign then this is it gift wrapped with a bow. I only hope and pray that when the fans finally get off their arses at the grove to let wenger and the club know their frustration that jens doesnt take it as a knock on him

i agree, flash, but he is coming to sit on the bench for 10 games. he'll probably only play if we are already champions or out of the title race.

but i think of what he can add to the squad, by teaching those gutless fuckers how to defend properly and behave like men in battle. mad jens knows about those things (and winning trophies).

and in the 10 games he will teach the likes of Bendtner this? He would need 10 years to get inside the skull of those gutless fuckers that frequent our current changing room

it's a shame that sczcesny's currently injured. i'm sure mad jens could teach him a thing or two about goalkeeping.

Agreed.

Lehmann for me, was never appreciated the way he should have been by our fans.

As they say you only know how good something is when it's gone.

To see the words Arsenal and Goalkeeping problems in the same sentence was unheard of, although he had the odd howler but every keeper does even Seaman.

I think some of our JCL fans never appreciated Lehmann, and just seen him as a lunatic. He didnt fit in with the nice tippy tappy win fuck all for 6 years project we have.

Some of the gimp players were the same, they rathered the ponce Almunia who would never dare open his mouth and all nice.

Nice guys finish last. Fact.
