As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Now having seen rvp get his first goal for utd, it has finally sunk in what has happened, is there anybody on here who would have invisaged this 12 months ago? not even myself, and I am not thei optimistic poster on here.
We are a fucking joke, and the club and wenger are a shower of fucking bastards. I wish them all slow painful deaths, for what they are doing to a once proud club, now the arse fucked plaything for anyone with a few quid, Fuck yiou Wenger, fiuck you kroenke , fuck you galzidis, and fuck every akb who supports this treachorous regime

Agreed, a sad day for the club.
I have to agree with you. Its also not fair on Giroud. The guy simply has to score goals or the fans will slaughter him. Also Corzola went to Malaga ahead of us last season. We were lucky to sign him but nobody will stay at Arsenal while we are a selling club. I simply dont understand why Wenger has not had enough and left. Its his reputation that has been ruined.

Maybe his multi-million salary could have something to do with it, a salary which he funds by these very sales.
Baba and myself have been going on all summer on here about how poor Giroud is.
So here we are after 2 games gone in the PL - Arsenal have spent over £30 million in attacking "talent" this summer and have so managed to score.....no goals
Giroud - the new Chamakh
Podolski - fading German
Cazoola - on work experience for Manchester City

Oh yes that's right. Should draw encouragement from that, as we went on to get destroyed 8-2 at OT and lost a NLD 2-1 to the Spuds! Before going on to prove all our critics wrong with another trophyless season....Oops sorry, forgot the 3rd place trophy
Van Persie is the best player in the Prem. I knew that anyway. As an Arsenal fan all I can think of is just how good we would be this season with him at the helm. I am loving this new Midfield and what I am most angry about is how RVP walked out of the club after all the Injury problem. As a player he is dynamic and up there with Messi but walking out on us now was the hardest transfer I have had to witness.

I agree that it is the hardest one of the lot to take. When Henry and Vieira left I felt like we'd had their best years - consistently - and that for them it was time to write a new chapter. Nasri and Hleb were just one season wonders for me that went on to prove they were no great loss, although admittedly Nasri has started to come good again for City adter half a season of nothing.
With RvP he has just hit his peak as a striker and United will undoubtedly, injury permitting, get his best years. Having said all that, I don't blame him for leaving a bit. At 29, he has 3-4 years lift to win the biggest prizes in the game and he has no chance of doing that at the Bowl under this owner and manager
