As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think we wanted him gone, mate.
Yes, the club/manager are responsible for signing him in the first place, and I reckon Wenger is partly to blame for not handling Arshavin better over the years, but we clearly wanted him out last season as we loaned him to Zenit, so presumably we wanted to sell (or at worst, loan) him this season, but failed to do so
After all, why do you think Wenger wants to keep him? he's a high wage earner who never plays! - the club wanted him gone, surely.

True G88ner, we obviously wanted him out. I maintain that had Arshavin been coached by Fergie instead then you'd have a heck of a player on your hands there because talent wise there is no question it's there. It's application, and that is unforgivable. Think yes he's a lazy sod but why has it been allowed to get to that stage? One thing you know you'll never EVER see with any Fergie/Mourinho/Moyes player is complete apathy, a lack of fitness and a totally disinterested attitude.
Like I said, we could have had a quality player on our hands but he's been man-managed shambolically imo...

As dumps go it really is BAD!
Went to Highfield Road when we lost 3-2 in about 1999, completely compounded by the fact that Coventry has probably changed little since the Germans dropped several kilotons of bombs on it in WW2.

I just think hes shit.
But agree Fergie/Mourinho would not have let it come to this fiasco.
