Easy 3-0 whoever we put out. Big crowd too - know we rightly slate the money grabbing machine we've become but League Cup tickets are genuinely good value and hope those that get there who can't usually really enjoy it.

I always go to these but not this time.

Coventry City are basically one of the worst teams in the country right now.
It is a total non event - equivalent to the Emirates Cup but with Arsenal reserve players.

I went to the Shrewsbury match last season but cannot allow myself to waste an evening watching a team that lost 4-1 to Shrewsbury in the week and 2-1 at home to Carlisle yesterday

6-0 win or Wenger should be sacked :D

I am going for the full on AKB experience for this one - sat with my old man (chief AKB) in the middle of The Theo Walcott Fan Club (also known as block 2)

I just want the GIC to take this seriously and not field a bunch of children.

one of the (many) things that pisses me off with wenger is the teams he puts out for this and the FA cup.
Fair enough use the youth/fringe players for coventry at home but when we get to latter stages why not play a strong team and go balls out to win a cup...at least it would stop all the "won fuck all for 7 years" shit.

Looking forward to this though.
Impossible to predict score without knowing the squad...but as i've been nowhere near a correct score all season going to randomly pick 4-1 with a giroud, djourou and a couple of people i've never heard of scoring,,,probably 8)

ches is injured, hence mannone starting today. my bet would be on us watching the likes of yennaris at right back, djourou and one of kos/verminator at centreback, santos at left; i think we might see coquelin, arshavin, chamakh, and the ox too.

we have older players not getting first team games this time around. arshavin, chamakh, santos, djourou... my bet would be on more 'first team outsiders' being fielded than youngsters from u18s and the alike.

Some of our decent youngsters are out on loan anyway, so could be a fairly strongish fringe squad players.
Giroud to get 2, he'll make them need the loo,

i'd like to have a look at this 17 yr old Serge Gnabry,to see if he can step up.

if he can, Theo is gone.

Giroud must start. Excellent opportunity for him to find his level. People need to ignore the fact he cost more than the Coventry team put together. A nice outing and reckon he could get a loan move to Blakpool in Jan, once Llorente is sold to us by Bilbao
