Gotta agree... and I was a big critic of his play last season.

We need a dramatic improvement in the 2nd.
I agree we were outplayed but they didn't create a lot and we had some good chances and one cleared off the line in the last 10 or so minutes imo.

Giroud our best player that half. Shown great strength on several occasions and causing their defence some problems.

Arteta has been good so far as well. Shame the rest can't be said about the rest of our midfield.

Hopefully see some improvement in 2nd half, although Dortmund obviously a good side and have been closing us down as well-will need to make more of good positions out wide as several shocking attempts at crosses so far

We came back into it in final 15 when we started to go a bit more direct and got the ball out wide more often. :barscarf:

Ramsey's main weakness is his dwelling on the ball in dangerous areas of the pitch. He did that at Marseille too and cost us a goal.

Rosicky's doing well too as well as Giroud. Ramsey will hopefully bounce back from his mistake.
Too many nerves in the first half, so hopefully we'll settle and move the ball a bit quicker.

OUTPLAYED? :?

Have Dortmund even made Chesney make a save? - both sides have created little. When you say "outplayed" I'd expect a little more from a side than what Dortmund have achieved.

That said, Dortmund have been composed and professional, and definitely the better side. That's it though, in my opinion. Hardly Bayern at the Grove from last season... now THAT was outplayed! :(

We need Theo in this type of a game. Right now there's no width (except from full-backs), there's no one who's going to try to get in behind the defence and stretch the play.

not to those of us who recognised it last year - including his goals for France, when you lot were calling him "le Chapman" etc....

Ja, mein Herr

OK - most of their efforts were long range hopeful hits but we never got started and hardly had any of the ball.

Excuse the hyperbole, I just thought we were total rubbish.
