One signing I hope doesn't happen. Is Coutinho. Odegaard is playing really well as is ESR. Why would we want a 29 year old to crowd the space in a position we are doing really well in.

Its so obvious we need a box to box/defensive midfielder. Our weakest position by far. Please Arteta, dont to what Arsene did and collect attacking midfielders
Absolutely! We need a Defensive Mid-fielder who can break up the oppo's play and Command the mid-field - Someone who can mix it and put their foot in as well (Not in a xhakaCunt way either), someone with a footballing brain who has skills.. like uhhhmmm!?

I maybe someone like N'Golo Kanté... Oops! I forgot we signed xhaka instead for More money.. Wenger Eh! What a Genius!

Sky Sports report Ainsley Maitland-Niles is close to reaching an agreement to join Roma on loan for the rest of the season. The feeling at Roma is Mourinho will be able to help Maitland-Niles rediscover his best form, as has happened with Tammy Abraham. https://t.co/w2pYDe3kin
Fucking insane decision if no one is coming in. We will be left with Lokonga and Xhaka. Unless he plans on playing White there.
Pantino? Recall Torreira and/or Guendouzi. I guess it makes sense not to buy until we sell the midfielders currently out on loan
Not aware of any recall clauses. Patino as a defensive midfielder?? Run along.
Doesn't have to play as DM, available as a midfield option. Expand your thinking.

I’m still hoping for Renato Sanches, an all action player with everything, he’d fit in so well.

He did but he then went to lille and was by all accounts outstanding as they won the french league last season 8)

The good thing for any quality young player having the dip he had, is that it allows them time to refocus and get their career back on the up again. Maturity is a big issue in that situation and many lack the maturity and their careers continue to nosedive all the way down to a shit lower league level - this kid seems to have bounced back both at club and international level, and I liked him as a player a few years ago and hope he becomes a star whether he joins us or not

Thinking about the transfers made both in and out of the club since Arteta and Edu have been accountable for, there isn't much to complain about as they've made the right decisions. There was a blunder with Willian but no one, least of all the player himself, anticipated how bad that would work out. But at least they corrected the situation as soon as they could.
For the first in years, I feel a bit more trust in the club with the January window approaching. Just not countinho as reports suggest even the club are a bit suspicious on why Barcelona are eager to get this move done. Overall, whatever they decide will be beneficial for the club.

No, he was once standing around outside in Lille.

Newcastle contact Arsenal over signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan-to-buy deal with a view to a £20million summer deal. [@MirrorFootball via @ZRAFC] https://t.co/jMtFWRMj4b

Just as important as player recruitment is. So is keeping our existing players

Martinelli is only on 20k a week, as is ESR

Move quickly , extend their contract at rates closer to 100k.

The last thing we need is playing catch up, having to match offers put in by other clubs.

I’d be okay with that if it was an obligation to buy because his salary is just stupid and a transfer fee would be helpful.

But a 6 month loan with no obligation? What’s the point? We lose a goalscorer and probably help oil rich Newcastle avoid relegation??? No chance. Every club should want them relegated!

And relegation wouldn’t slow them down by a year or two .

There has to be a fee and they must be pretty desperate .

It’s being reported in a lot of places about Wijnaldum. Arteta did say we were looking at loan signings. Probably not a bad signing TBH, like a battle and pretty good on the ball, he’s not had much of a chance at PSG so he should be well up for proving some people wrong. I think it will probably happen.
