time to shake up this team
time to shake up this team
After a few dreadful displays verses teams of a lesser ability then ouselves isit now time to change the side abit
my eleven would be 4-4-2 everytime

gallas
nasri
fabregas
song
vela
van persie
adebayor
see you dont have to change it much , just tell song this is your chance you are anchor midfield man give me your best because quite frankly denilson is shocking , when we are winning he can get by but in a tough game well he has shown what he is like.kolo hasnt had a decent game since he came back from the anc last season so give silvestre a go , nasri needs to start as he has shown quality and put vela on the left of midfield as his left foot and ability to get forward to help robin and ade is brilliant

song hasnt got the engine to boss the midfield.
almunia still cant boss his box ie lehmann and seaman
toure and gallas just cant be proper defenders
eboue, denilson, diaby are just not good enough
ade and rvp are not a good partnership
wenger has made a big mistake by 1) not getting in a proper quality midfielder when he had the chance 2) moaning when teams wont sit back and admire our football 3) playing the same players and not giving vela and ramsey a chance
the buck stops with the manager, he buys the players and he picks the team and tactics

I think the first set of changes/freshening up needs to be done in the management of the club. Far too often we are watching an underperforming team that appear to be seriously lacking in motivation for those lesser games
We witness a poor display against hull which even led to wenger speaking out about the need to shake things up in the team by making changes but how many changes did wenger make for the next game ? Fucking 1
That these said players can escape unscathed after producing shite displays against mighty teams like the baggies, fulham and hull where was the motivation to improve their performance going to come from ? Wenger showed to me that he hasnt the balls to drop some players (especially gallas and greedyballs up front) but if his loyalty is to the players and that is recipricated in their loyalty to him then who the fcuk is putting their loyalty to the club at the top of their list ??
This management team now appear unable to differentiate between quality and sub standard players. They appear unable to see the weaknesses in the squad as a whole nor indeed the weaknesses of a few players in that starting line up. They appear to be totally unwilling to drop any player lest they hurt his feelings (poor diddums
) and it seems to me that gallas and greedycunt up front can do and say what they like
Maybe we need a fresh injection into the management where rose tinted glasses are taken off for good and we wont have to listen to wenger's post match comments where he clearly has been watching a different game to the shit that we have just endured
PS Has the club appointed that new ceo yet ??

This is the essence of it.
Wenger should have strengthened in the closed season. He had ample time and with bone headed arrogance, insisted that this team were good enough to win the League.
He also said he wanted to keep last seasons squad together. He couldn't do that. And what's left, aren't up to it.
Those who assume fourth is a 'shoo-in' are also barking up the wrong tree. First and Second place are out the window. I think Liverpool will be more consistent than us over 38 games.
So we hanging onto fourth and hoping no one passes us on the way up.

I wouldn't be so sure.

I personally would drop Toure for Djourou, don't see what much wrong he did on opening day against WBA.
While waiting for Diaby to partner Cesc, I'd still go with Denilson. Although he's lightweight and can be seemingly overrun too easily in the hustle & bustle of a typical Premier League game, I think he has more qualities than Song who is still far too ponderous for my liking.
I've lately been wondering about a front three of Bendtner up top with Vela & Walcott on the wings. Nicklas seems to link well with either of these flyers and played IN THE CENTRE seems more direct than Ade.
Off the field, augie is correct about his worries about the management team. To me the management "team" seems to be Wenger alone. Rice & Primorac don't give me the impression that they contribute much at all (though I would love to be proved wrong about this). I was reading Phil Brown's comments about him & Walrus *word censored* thinking creatively about how to stop Arsenal playing. Maybe we need a Phil Brown type in there; a No.2 who can adapt tactically during a match and can convince Wenger to make actual changes in formation and not just like-for-like substitutions which lead to players being played out of position. A No.2 who can offer something else tactically other than "Bring On All The Forwards".

END OF
Dont agree with you about bedtner mate. His goals record is impressive especially given that he is largely 3rd choice behind the injury prone rvp and greedybollocks. He certainly has a more impressive goals to chances ratio than the aforementioned greedycunt
After watching the Sunderland game in the pub i went home and watched Man Utd beat Blackburn. And i thought how many of our players would get into the Nan Utd starting eleven and i would only put 3 of our oplayers in their team both our full backs and Cesc
And that is our problem we havent got the quality both Man Utd and Chelsea have/
And unless Wenger realises that we are going nowhere fast

Apparently we are being linked again with Blaise Matuidi of St.Etienne.
The NOTW quotes:
"The French U21 international has broken into the first team this season and Gunners scout Gilles Grimandi is a keen admirer"
Well fuck me we're all saved then. I mean if someone is good enough to have made the grade at St Etienne (currently bottom half of French League) they must be special........

Jeez, if we're relying on Diaby coming back then we're in bigger trouble than I thought! He constantly holds on to the ball too long and gives away possession.........when fit!
I'll say it again - Gallas is the real weak link in the current team but will never be dropped because he is (wrongly) our captain.
I got the usual hostile replies when I posted at the start of the season saying I can see us struggling for 4th and that I think Wenger will go at the end of the season by mutual consent. From what I've seen so far I haven't changed my mind. We are a mediocre team who can run over teams that open up against us but we CANNOT grind out results.
The sooner people accept that things will not improve until Wenger spends on quality players (and I don't think he WILL spend on quality players) then we will continue to have a forum of realists and rose tinted glasses people at each others throats as such. I love Wenger to bits but really think he may have taken us as far as he can.

Realistic changes for next season, realistic considering our budget:
REPLACE Gallas as skipper with Clichy.
IN - a tall ball attacking centre back for £10M.
IN - a tough tackling central midfielder such as Yaya Toure, for about £12M.
OUT - Diaby for £2.5M who is injured too often, replace him with Reo-Coker.
OUT - Eboue for £3M.
OUT - Gallas will leave for about £3M, even though he is better player than Toure on current form.
[For this season I would start Nasri and Walcott as the wide men in midfield if fit, use Vela as super sub].
