How Man Utd can afford their transfer targets (12/6)
Usual thread starter… So that’s how they do it. Just get further and further into debt! Not a great way to run a football club really. Suspect the only buyers would be a middle eastern sheik or a Russian oligarch. No self-respecting business could take on this level of debt when the Glazers sell up. Mind you they could always do a Leeds United! We live in hope!
how united can afford transfer
As a man united season ticket holder just wanted to say that this just about sums up what all united fans have been saying since the gimps took control.
Wouldn't want it to happen to anyone else, except maybe Leeds,Liverpool and Man city

Everyone who has welcomed the thought of Arsenal being bought by investors from afar should be forced to read this article. It is truly scary.
I want Arsenal to be owned by someone who cares first & foremost about the club. Someone who cares that Arsenal will still be thriving long after they & we are gone. I'll give Abramovitch the benefit of the doubt (although even there it is interesting to see that most of his cash has gone into the team rather than infrastructure!) but there is no doubt that the Glasers are in it for what they can get out over the short/medium term - and that is directly against the long term interests of Man Utd!
And for Man Utd read Aston Villa, Liverpool.....and who knows who else over the next year or two.

UNITED IN OUR LOVE OF FOOTBALL
WELCOME BACK, OUR FRIEND FROM THE NORTH! AND IN A MUCH MORE AGREEABLE MOOD AS WELL!
YOU SEE, DOWN DOWN US REAL FOOTBALL FANS ARE ALL THE SAME, NO MATTER WHERE WE COME FROM OR WHO WE SUPPORT. WE LOVE OUR CLUB, REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY ARE IN THE PANTHEON OF FOOTBALL. TOP, MIDDLE OR BOTTOM, I'LL ALWAYS LOVE THE ARSENAL AND I'M SURE THE SAME APPLIES TO YOU AND MANCHESTER UNITED.
AND WE ALL KNOW THAT WHAT IS CURRENTLY HAPPENING WITH ALL THESE FOREIGN TAKE-OVERS IS A BIG DANGER TO BOTH THE CLUBS AND THE GAME WE LOVE. FOOTBALL AS WE HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN IT IS CHANGING DAY BY DAY AND NO-ONE HAS A CLUE WHERE IT WILL ALL END UP.
ENOUGH RESPECT TO FC UNITED AND AFC WIMBLEDON FOR STANDING UP FOR THEIR PRINCIPLES. LET'S HOPE OTHERS HAVE THE COURAGE TO DO THE SAME!!
