Do Arsenal players know what the word EFFORT means??

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Do Arsenal players know what the word EFFORT means??

Post by CPHANMER »

Sitting at my desk reading the reports of yesterday's shambolic performance it came to my attention what would happen if we all acted like Arsenal's players

I mean say i came into work one day and couldn't be arsed to do anything, i popped down the pub for a couple of hours, didn't pick up the phone for anyone just generally took the pis%...... Would i get my manager coming up to me saying don't worry Craig you've been in for 4 days straight now it looks like your suffering from fatigue. Wenger knows every excuse in the book for why Arsenal lose. I would love to have him as my boss that's all i can say

It's not a bad point you make there really.

Who's out there playing for the shirt? In all honesty? Toure, Clichy, maybe Gallas.

There's no Adams, Bould, Winterburn, Dixon ready to throw themselves in the firing line is there?

The only effort was against United and we looked the part then.

Give you're boss a call in the morning: "I'm not coming in today... so fcuk off!" Let me know how it works out for you?

how can you say bendnter, fabregas, walcott, nasri were doing there best. they done sod all for the whole game.... either they should have told wenger at the start they weren't up for playing or at half time not 70 mins wenger should bring on players who are fighting for there jersey. Bendnter has had enough opportunities to prove himself and has let himself down every time. As for walcott....don't get me started

There was something with Walcott yesterday. I was one of the few hundred to stay at the end and Theo was the last player off, he walked the whole way round the pitch applauding the fans, as usual Gallas and the rest of our cheese eating surrender monkeys heads dropped and they headed off to the showers so they could get off to their mansions and watch Strictly.

Allez Arsene!

we all know that most of the arsenal players only perform when the pressure is on, which is a good thing when your up against a big team. I want to see players who would run themselves into the ground for the red and white shirt.... man utd match should have been a draw if it wernt for shrek and faketan missing sitters.

I think thats harsh, personally.

They all know what effort is, they are professionals so im sure they all give 100%.

I think we should be more worried about their quality and ability. Our squad is not as good as it was 5 years ago, ITS REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE.

i know it's not all the squads fault. Wenger puts them under enough pressure. he goes on about how good the squad is yet he only uses 15 players. If the squad is that good why dosn't wilshire, vela, djourou, gibbs, ramsey ever get a look in. It can't be that good arsene can it. Maybe cesc wouldn't be as knackered if he had 3 weeks off

p.s has arsene never gone back to the opticians he got his glasses from asking if they gave him the wrong prescription????

The problem with most of the players is ability and experience rather than effort.
