Time to STOP !! The Criticism of Arsenal Fans !!

Post by Kipmonster »

It's about time the criticising of Arsenal fans for booing Eboue ceased. The criticism has been fuelled by hypocritical journalists who have never missed an opportunity to lambast Eboue in the past for his theatrics & bad tackles. The fact is that Eboue was in danger of costing Arsenal the win & a bit of perspectve is needed here. It's NOT Arsenal fans who get into knife fights abroads, rob their own suppporters of tickets, force their way into grounds without a ticket & burgle their own players !!
The biggest villain in the 'Eboue Saga' is NOT Arsenal fans & NOT Eboue himself but I am afraid it is Mr Wenger who was responsible for the ridiculous choice of substiute for the injured Nasri. At home to Wigan he brings on the most negative option who was not match fit whilst ignoring Wilshere, Vela & Ramsey who all ran the same Wigan team ragged a few weeks earlier. Unfortunately it is the latest example of Mr Wenger 'losing the plot' !!

Tend to agree with you mate!

I have said before that its weird that there is more made of us and Eboue than there is of scousers booing there whole team after a game when they went top!

Wenger is making more and more poor decisions and the frustrastion is more than warranted.

Haven't you just posted that on the Football Unlimited blog too? Looked like a load of rubbish there as well.

Agree 100%. He made him look as foolish as he has done consistently playing Denilson and Diaby out of position.

However, can we also stop the boring criticism of Arsenal fans who leave early, as well as those who booed Eboue. I don't leave early personally but some people on here seem to think it's the ultimate sin. We have far too many threads given over to something which is of limited importance (by the way fans were streaming out of Old Trafford long before their winner against the Mackems)

I think it is a sin, so your telling me the team have produced a great performance and 3 points and so called 'fans' are streaming out of the gates to catch a tube home dont stay to appualed them off the pitch and show abit of support. it takes me at least an hour to get home using the tubes and trains after a game but im there till the players go down the tunnel, is a extra 5-10 mins really going to make the tubes that much quicker i doubt it.

It really hit me at the weekend at the wigan game the type of so called 'fans' and 'supporters' that attend these homes games, myself and a mate (rtpgooner) where sitting in block 99 and it was shocking up there, 2 blokes sat next to me came togther and left togther but didnt say 1 word all game, we constantly sung and cheered and tryed to get others around us involed but all we got were dirty looks.

There are so many people up there that are happy to have a pop and a moan and groan when it goes wrong or we draw or lose but when it comes to the time the team really needs our support to push them thru a tricky patch in the games they just sit there and wait for the next mistake so they can have another moan and groan. Fucking drives me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Rant over sorry

Perfectly true. But the Press who enjoy Emirates hospitality for free, feel obliged to suggest that all 57,000 of us are a collection of know-nothing, ungrateful mornons who should prostrate ourselves at the merest thought of our Gallic leader.

Any criticism thereof to be shreded and the perpetrator swung on a Holloway Road gibbet.

I actually read a piece - in the Times I think - the other day that quoted a source at the Club that said the current world financial crisis would not have happened if Wenger was running the planet (sic) and the fact that he furrows his brow at the prospect of global warming, is a further sign of his great intellect. I KID YOU NOT !

Trouble is he ain't paid to solve the world's financial problems or to stop global warming. He's supposed to be trying to lead us to success on four different fronts each season. One of those has already fallen by the wayside and some of us are not altogether convinced about the remaining three.

No doubt according to the press, that's our fault as well.

Unbelievable... "indecent and homophobic chanting" could be used to describe half the songs sung at football matches! :?

Can we now expect that images of 20,000 Chelsea, ManUre and Sp*rs fans will be released by the police, with regard the sick chant aimed at Wenger?
- a chant that is CERTAINLY indecent, and in my eyes, being called a p**dophile is about as offensive as it gets!

And should the Arsenal fans who abused Cashley now be fleeing to Mexico?

It's madness.... SELECTIVE madness

* I should probably add that I'm not condoning homophobic, racist, or any form of deeply offensive behaviour, and you certainly wouldn't find me singing that sort of thing!

I'm just commenting on the selective nature of it all... especially when they seem to be turning a blind eye to a far more obvious and noticeable chant.

Actually, that suprises me a little...

Arsenal's away games at Chelsea, Sp*rs and ManUre are watched by tens (or hundreds) of millions of people across the globe.. and the sick chant aimed at Wenger can CLEARLY be heard on tv and radio... so I'm a tad suprised the FA haven't clamped down on it.

The Premier League is their "product" and surely a chant of that nature being beamed across the world is far more damaging than the incidents at Pompey and 'Boro.. yet it's those incidents, not the Wenger one, that get the FA & police condemnation :?

Sorry... it's late, and I'm rambling
