Eduardo's return and an atmosphere to match it

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Good to hear some unabashed chanting at an Arsenal match for a change

Ticketing policy:

How can the club guarantee more tickets for younger fans?

Could the club charge less for tickets for those who can prove they were Highbury regulars?

Should a fan who asks who David Rocastle was be treated with scorn, or told a bit about the club's history and invited to be a more participant fan?

Is it natural that fans over 30 sing less, and always have done?

Is that the main reason for less singing these days, that a formerly consistent new influx of teenage fans can no longer afford to go to games?

Great article, really enjoyed reading this.

I was there too and the support was great. It's the most people I've seen at a reserve match for a while, but it was great to see.

The guys who were sitting in the South Stand with the banner should be given a medal of honour and they should be in charge of any singing sections for home games!

It's good as well to see younger kids getting a taste of grassroots football (by this I mean the stadium and facilities, no offence to Barnet FC!), and that it's not jusy all about daytrippers going out for a day out at football.

Good article, wish I'd been able to go the game, sounds v enjoyable

I totally agree that more young fans need to be attracted - maybe Cannon Club prices up to the age of 23 or something? I disagree that the poor atmosphere is just down to the "yuppies" and that if it was just "old-school" fans then it would be much better. Most of the people who moan and groan more than sing and shout shocking abuse at Eboue and Bendtner are not exactly sitting there in their Eton blazers and munching on prawn sandwiches, they're old-school fans sitting in the cheap (haha) seats
