What size is our Treasure Chest?
I cannot understand why even the press suggest 20 million is our max when it comes to spending on players this winter. What I do understand is ok, Chelsea Man City And Man Utd don't have a stadium to pay for and they can indeed splash out, but why can we still not. Mr. Wenger's transfer dealings in his time has seen Arsenal do quite well,so how come all the millions over the years that have been allocated to transfers have not been saved up, on top of the profits we have made from selling players. If Wenger wanted a player worth 30 million(ha ha) i cant see the board saying NO! The stadium will pay for itself rite, in years to come it wont be a concern if we pay attention to the team now. The players that the money is spent on outta be serious world class, Yaya Toure certainly isnt in that catagory, nor is Inler, Upson, Hangeland,Senna, and unfortunately Arshavin. Seeing as world class players left the club, why replace them with absolute muck that wont live up, Flamini should be replaced by somebody better than him,not someone that was on the bench befor him, that player may cost 15-20million alone and when i think how rich we used to be in defensive midfielders, i cringe still seeing diarra sign for real when we bloddy had him! and feeling sorry for djourou, senderos for being replaced by older quality center halves is baloni, chelsea n man utd both have 2 high class center backs why cant we? at present we have 2 babies(Gallas Toure) who r acting strange.Im sorry but that may require another 15-20 million, and thats without mentioning the need for a world class striker.how much out of interest mite a world class experienced striker cost again???!!!

Our so called "treasure chest" is exactly.... er, whatever the minimum is that the board can talk AW into spending. And if you believe a few posters on here they won't have to talk too hard to get AW to spend £800 on a 13 year old Tanzanian called "Clck-Clck" and maybe £1200 on a 15 year old pygmy called Mick... (Irish blood - we get everywhere with the old schlong, and I mean EVERYWHERE)

That would probably explain why there are only about four different surnames in Dublin.DB10GOONER wrote:Our so called "treasure chest" is exactly.... er, whatever the minimum is that the board can talk AW into spending. This song is often heard in Dublin playgrounds:-
"Ooooooh the okey cokey, ooooooh the okey cokey,
you put your middle arm in, your middle arm out..........
