Alan Hansen praises Jay Simpson!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Alan Hansen praises Jay Simpson!

Post by QuartzGooner »

Did anyone see Match of the Day tonight?

Alan Hansen lauded Jay Simpson!

Two very nice runs from our loanee at West Brom, showing some tricky feet and dribbling ability.

I'm sure he did realise that he's an English lad tho, even Walcott can do no wrong in the eyes of the media and God help anyone who clatters him!

All we can hope with Simpson is that he has a stormer at WBA and keeps them up. Only then is he likely to get a chance here next season. I can't think of anyone else who'd not play a striker after he's scored 2 goals on his debut but continue to allow Greedy and Bendtner games when they don't warrant it. Good luck Jay but I fear your future lies elsewhere.

He's just scored for the Baggies in the cup.

I think he's got a future at Arsenal, despite being a late developer. He reminds me of Ian Wright... no idea why, but he just seems to have a decent balance of skill and effort.
