Im not sure if he was a dead cert but there's was always more chance of himing coming to Arsenal because his brother Kolo is here. And they wanted to play with each other sometime in thier careers.

Dude u guys have anythink in your mindes, but i agree a bit about this, we definitely look like TH14 for 16 milion, thats a huge blow, we should get at least 35 milion.
And dont say Arselona, that hurts. I hate da mothafuckaz same as spuds, chavskis, or manshicksters.
Also some long posts take all my time reading it and most of the words i dont understand, thats why i sometimes may post silly things or nonsense because of my bad english.

Remember Kolo was a midfielder & if Barca turn out 2 do the same as Wenger who knows what will happen with YaYa

Wrote this on another thread but as some of you guys are interested in Yaya Toure - and obviously haven't read it - I thought I would post it here as well.
'Saw him briefly a couple of years ago, then in the African Nations and World Cup last year. The boy's one heck of a player that's for sure.

Like Gilberto or Diaby, you ask? Believe it or not, he is a combination of both. Good as a defensive midfield cover for the back 4 like Gilberto, yet strong in the tackle and forceful in his running forward ala Diaby. He even has very good passing ability - better then either of them!!

We have been linked with Yaya Toure since his brother Kolo came to Arsenal in 2003/4. Every year Kolo comes out with something in the papers about how Yaya is an even better player than him and how Arsenal should sign him. Alas, nothing ever happened.

Now he is off to Barcelona, where he will be sensational in comparison to the defensive midfielders they currently have. Our loss, I'm afraid.'

Don't worry Kaqak, my friend. We can still understand what you are trying to say, even if your English isn't the best.

There are a lot of English people who write on here that can not write properly, so don't worry about it.

See if you can get yourself a Kosovan/English translation book ( is there such a thing?) and that hopefully should help you to understand a bit better.

Don't worry Kaqak, there is sense in what you mean even if it's not always in the way its written.

Yaya Toure is a big loss but then that position is not where we need to strengthen.

I thought we were seriously interested at one stage but couldnt get a work permit for him earlier in his career. Can anyone confirm this for me ?

sounds like he would relegate Gilberto & Diaby to the bench if he came, which must be why he aint..

We never really made a decent enough effort to sign him did we? Probably cause we have had several central defenders. The little ive seen of him, he is quite impressive. He is miles ahead of Edmilson and Motta. Wish we could have signed him. I just hope that doesnt make Kolo want to join him.

I'd say we didn't sign him because Arsene doesn't rate him too highly. I think he had a trial with us a fair few years (think he played for us in a pre-season friendly) ago and we could have had him for free, but Arsene passed up on him.
