I know it matters little but as has happened with other players I would like to see Theo in a lower number shirt!

Theo 18 maybe?

COLOUR BLIND?

Post by I Hate Hleb »

I KNOW THIS ISN'T STRICTLY THE RIGHT PLACE FOR IT, BUT CAN ANYONE WHO HAS BOUGHT THE NEW WHITE AWAY KIT FROM THE ARSENAL STORE TELL ME WHAT COLOUR THE NUMBERS ON THE BACK ARE?

A FRIEND OF MINE WENT TO BUY THE KIT FOR HIS YOUNG SON FROM A LARGE SPORTS STORE NEAR HIM, BUT WHEN HE WENT TO GET THE NUMBERS PUT ON THE BACK, THEY WERE BLACK!!

MY PAL THOUGHT IT LOOKED A BIT ODD, SO DIDN'T PURCHASE THEM. HE ASKED ME IF I KNEW WHAT COLOUR THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE AND I DIDN'T KNOW FOR CERTAIN (RED CURRENT OR GOLD, I GUESSED). SAID I WOULD TRY AND FIND OUT FROM SOMEONE ON HERE.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Squad numbers are important in football! Maybe not in the sense that it will make much difference on the pitch but it's more of a traditional thing, as I like the idea of classic number 10s etc. So I say..Make Fabregas & Gallas swap numbers. Give number 3 to Clichy (or perhaps Traore as it wouldn't surprise me if he's our number 1 left back by the end of the season). Give 14 to Diaby and pass on number 2 to Eboue.
Also give the number 13 shirt to me as I think I could do better than the bloke that's got it right now! :D

Can't share the enthusiasm for the white shirt. Went to the shop on my lunch break from work, and I think it looks cheap. Definitely won't be buying it.

As for the squad numbers, everyone knows Arsenal should give Song the 14 shirt. It's only logical.

I also can't help but notice we've retired Jérémie’s shirt...

Give the number 3 to Traore over Clichy??? I rate Traore as a good prospect but am i the only one that thinks Clichy is easily one of the best left backs in the Premiership? In his first full season (and 1st really prolonged run in the 1st team) he was one of our better players last season in my view and easily outperformed the twat that is Cashley Cole!

I agree I think Clichy is a great left back. Equal to, if not better than Cashley Cole, and he can only get better!

I wasn't sure about Clichy before the start of last season..thought he looked a bit like a headless chicken at times and he was all about pace, but I was happy to be proved wrong. However, from what I've seen of Trarore in the reserves and league cup last season I reckon he's got potential to becaome an even better player mainly because he seems a bit more diciplined and definitely better on the ball than Clichy. I reckon if Clichy gets one of these long term injuries again he'll find it really hard to get back into the first 11. You're rightthough..it's only logical giving it to Clichy as he's our curent first choice at left back.

Yeah we could be blessed with two top class left backs in a couple years time. I have a feeling though that IF we buy this Sagna guy that he might be given the numer 3 shirt. Of course, Clichy might not even want the number 3, footballers are a superstitious bunch after all.
