just wondering to what level people play or have played. Radford149 acheived semi-pro status (yes people paid to see Radford play) and he was a bit of a local hero.
how about you?

Played for my school team, as right back. The *word censored* PE teacher swapped to a 5-3-2 formation so I had to spend 90 mins sprinting up and down the touchline. 85 mins gone, their striker was clean through to score teh winner, I was never gonna catch him so did the most cynical professional foul ever
Never got picked again, but at least we didn't lose

Used to play for Brentford as a kid in the same team as Peter Crouch (before he went to QPR & then the Totts) - also played in the same Sunday team as him. Two other players from both my teams made it pro, but only lower leagues - Walsall & Aldershot last I heard.
I quit Brentford (& pretty much playing football altogether) at 16 cos football was no fun to me any more for a while & getting to Griffin Park for 7.30am on a Sunday morning for away games wasn’t easy with no lift. But I’d never had made it all the way to pro to be honest anyway so signing a YTS only to not make it a couple of years later would have been a mistake.
Only really played 5-a-side now & again since then.
