Any score draw will see us progress, so I would settle for 1 - 1.

hope we c the following line up (though i knoe we wont)

almunia

sagna
gallas
toure
clichy

walcott
diaby
denilson
nasri

van persie

eduardo

wenger will probably start his son on the right, play song in a 5 man midfield, with van persie up front alone. i feel were better going at roma, that sitting back trying 2 hit them on the break. walcott may only last 60 mins, but id rather have 60 of him, than 60 of our headless chicken no.27.

Wenger should start a 5 man midfield. Something like:

------------Almunia--------------
Sagna--Djourou--Gallas--Clichy
------Denilson----Diaby---------
Eboue-------Nasri-------Bendtner
----------Van Persie-------------

btw i'm so excited and terrified at the same time. roma could turn up and woop us, it could be a bore draw (fine with me), we could turn on the heat, or it could be very close. i have no idea anymore. but thats why i love champions league more than anything. hopefully we qualify next season or i may cry.

Apparently Cicinho pulled up in training yesterday as well and chance are will be out of Wed too. They're dropping like flies.

Arsenal's Champions League opponents Roma are facing an injury crisis of their own ahead of Wednesday's encounter and could be without as many as half-a-dozen first-team regulars.

While the Gunners have been buoyed by the return of Eduardo and Theo Walcott against Burnley in the FA Cup on Sunday, the Italians suffered setback after setback at the weekend.

Already deprived of injury victims Simone Perrotta and Marco Cassetti, full-back Cicinho became the latest casualty when he suffered an apparently season-ending knee injury in training.

And Roma's problems don't end there either. According to The Times, 'David Pizarro, the Chile playmaker, limped off with a suspected thigh strain during Saturday's game [a 1-1 draw with Udinese] and was unsure yesterday whether he will be available to play against Arsène Wenger's side', captain Francesco Totti is still rated as doubtful for Wednesday, while 'Jérémy Menez and Júlio Baptista have the flu, Mirko Vucinic, the top scorer, has a back problem, Daniele De Rossi is suspended and Christian Panucci is not on the squad list.'

2-1 Arsenal :barscarf:
