As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
At the moment we only have a few singing sections, of which only the RedAction, Block 5 is kind of official. What has happened to the 'Ends' we used to have at Highbury??? If we could establish a standard ticket behind both goals where you can choose to sit where you like we wouldn't have the problem of 'affecting the matchday experience' for those that wish to 'sit and clap'.
What do you think? It can't be difficult...this would also improve the atmosphere before the game as people would turn up early to get into the 'Ends' like they used to at Highbury...the same people would also stay till the end and clap their team off - I'm sure of that! If there are season ticket holders I'm sure the Club could have a few rows reserved in these 'Ends' especially for them. Those fortunate enough would then have the advantage of accessing their seats whenever they please...
Anyway back to your initial thread. Yes it would be great if the club were to have named the ends of the new stadium but that alone wouldn't make much difference to the atmosphere. RedAction call their block 'The Bear Pit" and that hasn't really caught on (can't think why). The club aren't interested in atmosphere, they want money not noise.

You don't have to name the 'Ends' - they already exist behind the goals and they would be North and South. I think it would create a better atmosphere...it can't be any worse - I rekon 'true fans' could establish themselves there - the kind of fans that stay till the end!
There is nothing more embarassing for the players and supporters than seeing the stadium half empty before the half-time/final whistle!
I posted something about this before.
If we have the whole area behind the goal where stewards can fuck off (like the 'bear pit') or atleast be alot less strick.
It should be known that no-one should buy a ticket in that area if they want to sit down. People should be allowed to stand up for the whole match. There are plenty of other seats for those who do not want to stand or chant or do anything except boo and munch on prawn sandwiches
It will never happen, to arsenal we are not fans or people. We are figures
I wrote to the club when the stadium opened and asked for them to rename the ends instead of using quadrants.
They wrote back and said they were happy with quadrants.
Though in two years time there is a big anniversary of 125 years of the club, and there are plans to do a lot of "Arsenalization" schemes to the stadium, so maybe the "ends" will return then?

Seems to be the problem...Does anyone at Arsenal read these forums??? They pay people lots of money to 'market' the club, but they have to be seen to be 'politically correct'. This is the problem with society nowdays - Nobody wants to stick their neck out and try something new! Instead they take away our history etc by banning everything...Smoking, Standing, F**king English Flags off etc!!!!
