argentinian set for arsenal

Post by nuttygoonerpaul »

:D ARSENAL are poised to smash their transfer record with a £15million swoop for Argentinian striker Rodrigo Palacio.
Reports in Argentina claim Palacio, 25, will fly to London tomorrow for a medical after Boca Juniors accepted the Gunners offer.

He is destined to wear the No 14 shirt vacated by Thierry Henry’s recent £16m move to Barcelona.

Holy cow thats the player with the worst hairstyle ive ever seen. Saw him in the Copa this year, but he always appeared as a sub.

Could you state the source?

Will be interesting to see if this one comes off. I cant see us signing another striker as i think we have 5 already if Bendtner is given a 1st team chance. The 5 being... Adebayor, Bendtner, Theo, da Silva and Van Persie.

So i cant see another striker coming in but maybe im wrong.

There will be another striker coming cause Wenger plans on playing Eduardo on the left. However im not too sure about this guy, would rather have Martins.

Bloody hell have you seen his hair it's like David Seamen gone horribly wrong.http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002 ... 74,00.html. He has scored 39 goals in 79 appearences for boca juniors and has had 5 international caps. It says that it would smash arsenal highest transfer record fee of sylvain wiltord for 12.5 million in 2000, but if i remember rightly Reyes was 17.5.

That would of gone up to 17.5 if he was successful with us but he wasn't so Wiltord is still highest buy so far

I miss a Wiltord type player he always tried hard for us

and scored the the goal that made us champions of old trafford   8) 8)

Looks like this is for real. most of the footy sites and press are running it now. I've never heard of the guy to tell the truth. Wonder if Liverpuke or Manure will make a last minute offer for him...

Not sure about this one. Apparently this was started by a Boca Junior blogsite. So dont know if it is reliable. But as usual the thicko tabloids have lept on to it. I cant see La Boss going for this one. Maybe La Boss has done his usual by making out that he's after this one in order to get Manure and Chel$hite scurrying around after him, while La Boss, sly old grey fox that he is, quitely signs up another gem without paying megabucks for him because the baying dogs are not in the running?

Who knows....Arsene knows...thats who.
