WE need Martins Obafemi

WE need Martins Obafemi

Post by kaycee »

Even if julio scores all the goals in the goals in the copa america the english league is a diffrent ball game.we need a striker in martins who can make use of our ever useful and vibrant midfield.

Whats the latest on Him anyway[/i]

He would be an asset no doubt particularly with Adebayor going to the ANC in Jan but still feel we need width more than another striker.

Sorry bit tired, been picking up horse shit earlier. So when Adebayor is away we will have Van Persie,Walcott,Bendtner,De Silva, It would be interested to see who would start up front as people have said maybe De silva going on the wing.

Has Adebayor not given up playing for his country?

Thought he called the coach the son if a whore or something at the World Cup and refused to play for less then Liberia's national debt per game!

I thought it was something like he was given death threats and people wanted to shoot him, but that's soughted out now because im sure i heard about him scoring for togo in a friendly sometime recently.

sure about martins ?

Post by gunners-need-steel »

Hey fellas, sorry to dampen your enthusiasm .. but I reckon Martins may not be as good as he is being made out ...

Sure he is quick, and fires bullets from his left foot, but remember how long it took him to settle into Newcastle and how newcastle fans slated him for a decent while ...

The england-based players I would go for:
Kevin Nolan
James Beatty
Marlon Harewood

physically tough and tall folks who give defenders hell ... even if just to create opportunities for other strikers. Will also provide targets to aim for when plan-a doesnt work for arsenal.

me-tongue-in-cheek:

well, wasnt joking ... I do rate those players as players that can easily step up, if the setup is right as its bound to be playing for AW. Risk is not with any of those players, but turing us into a chelsea-style route-1 club ...
