OFFICIAL GRAND NATIONAL THREAD
Where's your money going. For me 3 bets
Butlers Cabin to win.
Each eay on,
Irish Invader and Comply or Die
Gunna put tricast on all 3 too.
Who you gunna bet on?
None of this "I dont bet" crap, its more fun than the lottery.

ive got a good record with picking winners in the grand national over recent years. ive had hedgehunter, numbersixvalverde and comply or die.
so this year i am going for either:
state of play 14/1
black apalachi 14/1
irish invader 20/1

F2-P151 BLACK APALACHI 10 11-05
Denis O'Regan Dessie Hughes (Ire)
Blew away the opposition in winning Becher Chase last November over the National fences having fallen at the second in this race last year. May prefer softer ground, but is very much a live contender.
Rating: 7/10 Odds: 14-1
not sure now. might not suit the ground

I read that also PJ, in the Daily Mirror just a min ago, but, I'm not changing my mind (that's a fatal mistake when punting)projoe wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_s ... 959295.stm

I quite like the grand national and is one of only 2 races that I will actually bet money on. Being honest I prefer when it is run in mucky conditions cos it basically levels the playing field and fools like me, who know nothing about the horses in the race, have nearly as good a chance as the so called know it all's that most of us run into every bloody day
Being honest I basically go by the pinstickers guide and hope for the best and have picked 4 for my bets - black apalchi and Irish invader are the only 2 I can think of

Hmmm, saying that though PJ, it ran well in the Gold Cup recently, I think it finished 6th.projoe wrote:the horse i wouldnt pick is (look at his form):
211-POO COMPLY OR DIE 10 11-06

It also knows it's way round Aintree which is also a plus. An each way punt for sure (regardless of the ''POO'' form figures)
