Villarreal away

Villarreal away

Post by Chippy »

My first pre match sticky. :stearmaster: :stearmaster: Thought I'd get this in now as I am going to the game this afternoon and I know Rebel is going to be there.

Difficult to know who will be the front six. A lot will depend on injuries and fitness. Be happy with 0-0 and be ecstatic with a draw involving goals. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Ecstatic with 0-0? Are you mad? Away goals are the key...I would go as far to say that i'd almost rather lose 2-1 or 3-2. I really think we should attack them on Tuesday night & attempt to win the game. Would be happy enough with a high score draw though. Ideally, would like to see us score at least twice out there so i'll go 2-2! Today first though, i strongly fancy us - comfortable win.

Sorry, just read your post again! I must read slower in future! Still wouldn't be 'happy' with 0-0 though. Think it would be an extremely dodgy result.

0-0 wouldnt be dodgy i think it would be okay. but yeah i'd rather lose 3-2 for sure.

My prediction is the same formation/players as against man city but nasri in and arshavin out. 1-1 draw (ade 67th min) setting us up well to move on.

Agree about being away 2nd, you know exactly what you've gotta do regarding away goals if your away in the 2nd leg. You also get a possible extra 30 minutes! I just worry that we're gonna go there tuesday and just sit in relying on our ability to do the job at home. It's a dangerous game to play and would much rather us going there playing our natural attacking game. Usually the side that scores the more away goals is the side that progresses. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!

I think we will either put in one of those great performances we come up with every now and then in europe or play poorly.

I predict a 1-0 defeat or a 3-0 victory.

First away CL game for me this season, is anyone else flying out from gatwick tuesday morning???

We need to score, should be able to get at least one goal, 0-0 wwould be better for them than us.

Preferring to lose 3-2 as opposed to 0-0 doesn't make sense, if you lose 3-2 then any draw at home and you're out, there are more possible ways to go out if you lose first leg than there are if you draw 0-0 even if you lose 10-9.

i think his point is if we get '10-9' we will not have to be worried of away goals and can push up...
