Feddie left coz henry left

At least if i want to see a former first team player he won't be very far away or experisve like Henry & Pires etc
Now i might go & see West Ham v Roma & sing WE LOVE YOU FREDDIE song with Arsenal in the song

If he is honest and realistic then he will see that although the team has aged and moved on he was never going to be first choice next season even if we bought players and Thierry stayed. We love you Freddie just dont score against us !!! You served the club superbly and you deserved a testamonial so you would have gotten a proper gooner send off.

Slightly concerned why Freddie felt the need to tell the world about broken promises and Thierry leaving etc!

It has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth the same way TA told the world he thought Viera would be finished by the time he was 30! Why?What have they to gain from it?

There was plenty of other things he could have said namely the truth, he wouldnt have got a kick this season!

Well thats another legend gone....I dont think we have any legends left now!

Cesc and RVP are legends in the making we hope and we all love Kolo but where the fuck have all the world cup winners gone? Where are all the players other clubs admired from afar? Where are the Invincibles? Yes I know age is part of it and so is Arsene's one year contracts for thirty year olds but its all been a bit quick for me!

Did Sol really have to go last year? Why was Poertsmouth so attractive? Bobby loved us! Why couldnt we keep him? The timing here seems wrong....basically a whole side gone over two seasons! No other succesful club does that!

Starting to get worried! Very worried the bubble has burst!

Maybe these players know a lot more than us!

:(

If only we do a Chelsea & create a farewell match for him at the stadium
Vieria spent the same ammount of time with us so it shows that Fred was Arsenal through & through
I can't wait for the Emirates cup
It'll make my Vieria 2005/06 home shirt in use for the first time :D

Don`t believe that Freddie left because Thierry did at all, but in Freddies mind it sounded better than`"I`m leaving because I cannot get enough first team football".
I Still think he should not have said it.

Never mind Freddie is gone and he should be remembered as a fantastic player through the years.
Thanks Freddie for your general attitude and contribution to the game

Its sad to see these quality players leaving but most have been at the Club for a long time. If Wenger was to keep Pires, Vieira, Henry, Ljungberg, Campbell etc, what would we be saying now. ....."Whats he at...he knew these players were getting on in years and has done nothing about it. He could have gradually replaced them over a few years!". The fact is that players get old and the nature of the game is that we must chose the right time to sell these players. I personally feel that we should be looking at a bigger timespan for success than the next 9 months. Its no good winning the league for the next two seasons if it means being 6th-7th for the next 5. Wenger has transformed the squad without spending too much and has also kept us in the Champions League. I think he deserves some credit for this achievement.

Leprechaun in the What Is Wenger Doing post you state you think we will win the league this year!

However in this post your talking about building up over a period of time!

Explain please as the amount of false optimistic bullshit that is flying around these forums is confusing me!
