CL Final - Anyone Booked Flight / Accommodation ?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

CL Final - Anyone Booked Flight / Accommodation ?

Post by Mr. Stereoworld »

Spotted a similar thread to this on the AFC messageboard.

Has anyone taken a cheeky punt and already booked a flight / accommodation for the CL Final ?

As I did after 1/4 finals in 2006 I have booked my flights for the final in Rome. Well, it worked in 2006... Glad I did back then too, because the prices got silly after we won the semi. Same will happen this time.

It's worth risking a €100...

Flights never a problem, just fly anywhere near by and get a train. I just need a match ticket, they are already selling on ebay for £2500 a pair :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I was offered silly money for my ticket in Paris, enough to pay for my season ticket for the next season, but how could you sell and miss out on what could have been the greatest evening in Arsenal history.

In 2006 we flew to Brussels and TGV'd it to Paris. This time (if we make it to the final) we'll be flying into another Italian city and mini-bussing it to Rome. I'm not specifying which city because if hundreds of Gooners (and whomever we might get in the final IF WE MAKE IT) do likewise it will push the prices up big time...

Paid £1k each for me and my son's tickets in Paris.

Will probably be double that in Rome.

Me too. I turned down €1000 for mine. Saw tickets change hands for €2000 each at one stage.

My mate Holly was quietly offered a spare ticket by a female Gooner on the concourse outside the stadium. She said she wanted to sell to a fellow Gooner but wanted enough money to cover her season ticket. My mate offered €500 and some passing Gooner overheard and instantly offered €800. Within minutes she was surrounded by desperate Gooners with offers of silly money and eventually sold it for €1800. My mate was devestated... :(

Maybe in hindsight, we should sold our tickets, but I'd have been proper gutted if we'd have won and I missed it through plain greed.

Could never have done it. I had to be there on our date with history. Still haunts me how close we came... :(
