As well pointed out by Ed - if you don’t like it don’t read it. I find Myles work very interesting and believe he has well rounded views and insights into the world of arsenal, more importantly his work is well written something I cant say for some of the garbage that finds its way onto this site. I get sick and tired of reading farcical rubbish about this team, it is refreshing to read work that is realistic, too much fantasy is written on many sites, Myles simply writes what all arsenal fans think but are too proud to admit, this doesn’t make him any less of a fan than you or I. The fact that you bring his attendance into question is ridiculous, only fans go to the matches? Absurd. The difference between him or you or I however is that he is far more knowledgeable about everything Arsenal, he has sources, he knows what we can only speculate.
Everyone has views about this team that we obsess about, everyone thinks that they are right, if every fan took the time to write a piece about Arsenal the web would be littered with nonsensical rubbish, I would bet that 99.9% of it wouldn’t be either as credible or as informed as Myles work – would get worse odds than for over 2.5 this weekend!
Criticism of Wengers decision to leave Arshavin out of the FA cup tie with Chelsea is completely reasonable, Hiddink knew too much about him? Come on! Wenger watches every 'Big 4' game, he knows everything there is to know about Ronaldo, Rooney etc. do you think Sir Alex will leave any of these guys out next week? I think not. Wenger has managed Anelka for numerous seasons, why didn't Hiddink leave him out? Wenger made a mistake, this was proven when the Russian hit 4 against Liverpool, Myles praises Wenger when necessary and criticizes appropriately, why should he escape criticism?
You MUST have been watching a different game to the game I watched, 'we actually took the game to Chelsea with the team we put out and even ran them close. With our full defense it would have been a different game' We took the game to them? Are you joking? I was embarrassed watching a much more accomplished Chelsea team tear into us. I feel many fans, not just gooners, are afraid to criticise their own team, you are deluded if you thought we were the better team. Trying to justify and make excuses for defeats isn’t good enough, we should have the squad depth to cover two injuries in defense.
Reading ANR every week I feel that Myles sometimes gets it wrong, sometimes I couldn’t agree more with what he says, always however I feel his views are justified and 100% written because he loves and supports this team. I would much rather read his work than make the mistake of listening to drivel on the gooner pod cast.

What you must remember about Myles Palmer is that he is a journalist. I find it fascinating to read a journalist unedited by a sub editor somewhere. This means you get some great writing and some absolute dross.
Remember because he is a journo when Arsenal do well he is a big fan, but when they are doing not so well he writes as if he is not a fan. So no he is not a true fan. He has his theories and strong opinions which are not always mainstream and gets the occasional scoop too.
I read him because what he writes is entertaining and often different. Some times thought provoking sometimes a complete twat.
I reckon at heart if he supports anyone he is a scum fan but would never come clean about that. Just remember with a journo you will always get a fair degree of bollocks and although he claims to write honestly, as a journo wouldn't know honesty if it bit him up the arse. Stick with Arseblogger if you want the true fans voice. I read and enjoy them both.

His ideas are always worth a read as they are a very cold and unemotional look at Arsenal, which is very different from the way fans look at the club. Much of his stuff is correct as well, although that effect is enhanced by the fact that when he gets it right you never hear the end of it and when it is wrong it slips quietly away.
The only thing that really annoys me is the obvious yet never explicitly stated sly digs about Adebayor's background. There's enough to criticise about Ade without resorting to that.
So conceited he most certainly is but also one of the most interesting sports blogs on the internet.
