Frank Lampard & John Terry - West Ham Abuse

Frank Lampard & John Terry - West Ham Abuse

Post by O'Leary »

I'd like to know your views on this. Sensible if possible. Please don't just say Frank Lampard is a *word censored* or John Terry should die, as that's a load rubbish and isn't what I'm trying to achieve.

Do you think the level of abuse that JT & FL received was justified? Don't get me wrong, I have a whinge and a whine when I see opposition players rolling around all over the pitch or when Ashley Cole plays against us, but this was pure venom. I think that was a bit too much.

Do we have some sort of devine right to hurl horrendous abuse for 90 minutes about a certain players family? This to me seems a bit wrong?

Maybe i'm mellowing as I grow older but I'd like to get your views on this... I suppose deep down I'd like to think we as Arsenal fans were "better than that" but i'll let your views decide.

It's never justified but it comes with the job much like scooping up dog shit if you're a road sweeper.

What was so bad that they sang? Just "you're an unfit parent" to Lumpard? Hardly the most vitriolic thing I've ever heard....

Comes with the job, luckily Arsenal have banned homophobic, racist and sweary abuse but left "badparentophobia" alone so I hope we give him both barrels.

Lampard is a c*nt & Terry should die.

Seriously though, didn’t hear what the spammers were singing to them but I’ve always thought it’s a bit self-defeating the way they try & get at those two every time Chelsea play at Upton Park. They’ve already shown they quite like the abuse & use it as motivation.

As far as boundaries of course some things should be off limits - kids, racism, serious illness, family bereavement etc. But there’s a massive difference between say taunting Defoe over his brother’s murder & taking the piss cos your mum’s robbing from Tesco while you’re on £130k a week! Some of these pricks take themselves too seriously.

I'm pretty sure most of us are capable of taking it on a case by case basis & drawing the line where needed.

I agree. He is a crunt...

And I agree with the rest of it. I always found the scum's "peado" chant at Wenger particularly distasteful and if anyone taunted Defoe over his brother's murder then that says more about them than it does Defoe. There are limits... unless you are a tottnumb scummer, I suppose...

Also… where was noble Frank & John’s moral outrage when the Chavs used to sing about Vieira’s mum being a cannibal?

We are talking about the same Terry that expressed his "disappointment" over mouser players hounding the ref and trying to get him booked... the cuntslop just doesn't do irony...

It definitely goes with the job, I honestly think that the abuse the players received several years ago was much worse.

That said, someone above posted that as long as boundaries are never stepped over then they should receive both barrels. (Verbally not literally of course, but then again.....)
